Lachie Neale gonna be named coach or something?

Absolutely robbed. No way Selwood should be in that side ahead of him and a bunch of other mids.

I agree Selwood is very lucky and to be the captain. Apparently Cameron Ling said the other midfielders picked have more impact on the game than Neale.

Agreed, absolutely robbed indeed!

Selwood named captain!

I really like the foward and back 6.

Matty Boyd is a bit of a surprise.

Selwood's had a pretty good year too though, always tough calls to make with these best of teams

Not sure what everyone is complaining about. I think the side is pretty spot on ;)

Selwood ahead of Neale every day of the week. If you are going to pick possession gatherers you might as well include Rockliff. Personally I stopped caring about the bullshit 'Awards' season years ago. The only thing that matters to this Cat fan is the flag.

Have to agree, there's a reason Neale broke the record for most disposals this year, not one single opposition coach gives a rats ass if he gets the ball, its 40 times a game they get the ball back and can launch an attack

Enough of Selwood. He's a gun. How about Boris though? 34 years old. 6th all australian. Two best and fairests. Best half back flanker in the history of the game IMO
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Amazing player and to think he didn't get his first AA until he was 27

Heard him interviewed around the time he became the record holder for games at Geelong. Could go on for at least two more. Fantastic role model for younger players. Has not forgotten where he came from.

I reckon Boris might hang em up at the end of the year. Especially if the Cats can pinch the flag.

Ted Richards tweet:
Question: If All-Australian key forwards are judged on goals kicked, interesting to know which key defender had the least goals conceded?

Answer:
Harry Taylor comfortably
Long heralded as one of the best one-on-one defenders in the game, the Cats’ Harry Taylor comes out on top for fewest goals conceded this season with just 15 goals against in 22 games.

Does well in the % of contests lost stat too, which is probably more relevant these days. I think for a complete picture we need to see how many contests these guys are in and how often their opponent is the target. If Geelong don't do their darndest to make sure Taylor is able to play free and avoid the best forwards I'd be amazed.
