F**k it. Pretty big blow to the Vikes chances. Solid, not spectacular, first couple years and was going to be interesting to see if he could have a breakout year or was always going to be at that level.

Mike Glennon from Tampa might be a good get who seems to show a bit but always gets relegated to back-up.

I reckon they'll go with Vick. Proven solid QB.

They only need him for a season. Much better option than a younger guy that's gonna demand a longer term contract. Plus Vicks free. They'd have to give something else up for Glennon.

So they lose Bridgewater for this season, PLUS a pick or player, that would have to have some value for the Bucs to consider it.

Go with the proven free agent.

Based on that, Vick would be a logical choice. I like Glennon as a player from what I've seen of him.
Think Vikings have numerous 3rd and 4th round picks next draft, so there may be some currency there.

Do you think the Vikes will enquire about Geno Smith?

Probably, but hopefully down the list a bit.

At the risk of making him sound like a superstar, I'd still go after Glennon, who could be a lower-range but not bottom couple, QB. Think I read somewhere Zimmer liked Hill, their current back-up, because he was a good mentor for Bridgewater, so after this year Hill may not have much value anyway, and if that were the case I'd still like Glennon as a backup, just do it now.

The Vikings just signed Sorensen again, who they just cut when they cut down from 90 to 75 players. He pretty much took a spot on the Charger practice squad for 3 years.

So it looks like they might just take a chance with Shaun Hill, and have Sorensen for worst case scenario.

You'd want Glennon to have a better handle on the ball if you guys go that way. This literally just popped up on my FB feed

Anyone else watching Hard Knocks?

I'm halfway through the third episode, and its a pretty boring season this year. There's not a whole heap of football stuff either. Its more focused on the stuff off the practice field.

Goff seems like an air head as well.

Will have to give it a miss this year will over there travelling with the family for 6 weeks so getting online to put selections in will be hard at times

Going to the Oakland vs Buffalo game and trying to sneak into Oakland vs Chargers in SD our second home stadium if I can get it past the wife as we get into SD that day might cost me a few handbags & shoes at Kate Spade in Vegas.

The Vikings picked up Sam Bradford over the weekend.

Will be very interesting to watch how that plays out.

Also, I think that put Philly and Wentz in a bad situation. He's gonna be thrown straight in the deep end.

Cam Newton just got sacked, and it looks like he could have a fairly serious back injury.

EDIT

I recommend anyone with Gamepass watching this game.

Right now there's 9 secs on the clock.

Scores 20-21 Denvers way.

A catch is being reviewed. If its a catch, the Panthers get a 50 yard shot field goal attempt to win.

Awesome game.
