Sorry the football club is not willing to pay such a high price for Conca. Maybe half a crumpet but not a full one.

Seems it only takes 30 years of mediocrity for the outrage at Richmond to lead to actions more meaningful than tearing up memberships and booing.

Didn't think the challenging group sold themselves that well on their plan and that Doctor bloke seemed like a bit of a knob

You saw him on Talking Footy?

Was a very bizarre interview. Spoke of wanting the coach to stay but change his game plan to that of one dictated to him by two blokes who played over 20 years ago! Then went on to talk about Neil Balme being "disenchanted" with the goings on at Collingwood and "How do you know this, have you spoken to him?" "No, I haven,t but my mate Bruce has and he's told me what Neil is thinking".

So, we've got Neil Balme, we just haven't spoken to him. Not sure Balmey would be up for getting involved in a place run like that.

Anyway, good to see the off field is about to be as ramshackle as the on field has been for decades. It's great viewing.

The odd thing is Balme hasnt made any suggestions he is wanting out of Collingwood. He is on a reasonable wicket there. Seems like they have outed Balme if his info is correct via the media. Hard t see him coming across at the moment.

I don't know all the ins and outs, but apparently Balmey has been offered a reduced role at Collingwood.

Heading to Richmond might not be beyond the realms - he could probably get one last gig at massive over$ before retirement, which might not be in the Tigers best interests anyway.

This group that wants to come in is sprouting they'll actually keep most things and personnel the same, don't really see enough difference in their ticket to those already running the show.

When Gubby Allen left GWS he went to Collingwood to ( as it was first mooted ) run the National Netball and Womens Football departments. Then once he arrived it was also added to his role to run the Football Department at the Holden Centre, basically over seeing Balme in his role. As you can imagine Balmey wouldn't have been too pleased.

Have Richmond been kicked out of the comp yet?

Good get by Richmond. Almost kills the moves to replace the board too. Not totally convinced it would be about the money, I imagine the challenge and romance of the task at hand would also appeal to someone with Balme's record.
