Burgoyne took a pay cut to go to Hawks
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

The only thing surprising about Burgoyne has been his longevity. He was a gun before that.

If it is purely best player than those other lads win. If it's most improved or something then guys like JPK, Ted Richards, Eddie Betts need to come into consideration. All Australians at their new clubs when nobody really expected them to get to that level

What was it he actually won? The acknowledgment of a few punters on a forum.... The other blokes must be gutted!

Way to bring the tone down haha.

Seriously though, i agree with you. And thats why I dont rate people thinking they can hurl abuse at an opposition player just because they are from the opposition.

That was 1999, so does it count?

Has anyone mentioned Scott Thompson?

I think he did well for himself after leaving Melbourne.

TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.

Those stats aren't from one of those highlighted above, though.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

One of my favourite Cats of all time. He was our Richo. Not as good obviously but Cam was underrated by many opposition fans. Yes, he struggled at the end of his career like many before him but his efforts in the years when Geelong were a young side on the rise were pivotal to our eventual success. Whenever we were in the shite Bomber would throw Cam into the action, up front, in the ruck, down back. He wore his heart on his sleeve and the fans loved him for it. We even loved him when the silly bastard got suspended for silly acts on the football field, most notably in 2006 when he really struggled mentally.

Love the Big Hairy Cat!

regards,

REB

Haha thats the only way I knew that

He talked about it on his Open Mike which I watched a few weeks back. He was extremely embrassed by it, being a premiership player but not touching the footy didn't sit well with him and he was very determined to make up for it. Said he was very relieved that he made up for it in 2007.
