Trouble with running a league though, is that there are extremely passionate people from extremely passionate clubs that magnify every little miss step made. The finals permit saga is a good example of this. A small governance slip up caused a major issue, and resignations and so on. Steady thoughtful people are required on the board. Club "Barrackers" would not be a good thing. The question would be weather the clubs would pursue individual club interest - or overall league health interest.

This is surely a p1ss take!!
These "small governance slip-ups" are consistently happening by the same few and doesn't look like improving any time soon.

No doubt club personnel pursue club interest which is not always for the betterment of the league - but this is what they are elected to do by their club members.
The HFL board members are elected to do what is best for the league in total - not any individual club - which is what seems to happen at times.

Put your hand up then if you're not happy with how its run.

Cracka, are you happy with how the league is run?

With the extra points and permits handed Onkas way, what would he have to complain about? No wonder he's happy

From Echunga's Facebook page from the committee:

The Senior Committee of the Echunga Football Club wishes to advise its members, sponsors, players and supporters that Mike Field has today resigned as the Senior coach of the Echunga Football Club.
We would like to thank Mike for his contribution to the Echunga Football Club at all levels and we wish Mike and his family all the best for future endeavours.

there are some other comments on the post which indicate that it may not have been Mikes decision and he may have been pushed... notice they have not advertised the role straight away.... does this mean they have a new coach already lined up which may be why they are saying $$$$$$$$$

A bit of an article in this weeks Courier about Mr Bassani. He has the latest government bracelet to wear for the next 14 months. Will be able to get a few things down around the house now.

LION KING TO BLG

By Peter Argent

Today the South Gawler Lions announced that Chad O'Sullivan will be their senior coach for the 2017 and 2018 BLG premiership seasons.
The Lions management were impressed with the fact O'Sulliivan had a strong resume at SANFL league level, as well as having experienced rural football in this state.
O'Sullivan played a a trio of consecutive league flags for the Bulldogs - 2007, 2008, 2009 and in the 2012 reserves title before moving across to North Adelaide the following year.
Culminating in another Grand Final appearance this year, O'Sullivan played for Torrens Valley Mountain Lions in the Adelaide Hills competition.

A big loss for TVFC, a little birdie told me he may not be the only one leaving, maybe one or two others as well. Most of the squad including the coach have committed for just one more year, where does that then leave them in 2018? With very little coming through in Junior ranks the Club is looking shaky to stand on its own 2 feet. A merger with a neighbouring club must be on the cards ...
