Different situation. Carlton can hold Gibbs. It comes down to how badly the Crows want Gibbs vs how happy Carlton would be to hang on to him after declaring he wanted to go home. All the talk has been about the O'Meara deal holding things up, then the Prestia one. I think the Gibbs trade might drag on for some time as both parties try to get the best possible outcome. Just reckon there's a big difference between Adelaide's top price and Carlton's low price.

Thought the talk had moved on from the Rockliff to Adelaide story. Can't imagine Adelaide getting both Rockliff and Gibbs. If we do and it costs us a few picks and maybe a fringe player or two, I'll take my hat off to the recruiters. Just glad that with news Lyons and Ellis-Yolman want to stay, Henderson seemed happy to stay and with a few blokes requesting trades to Adelaide that we seem to have become a club that attracts.

So currently the swans have picks 17, 39, 57, 93, 111 (according to afl.com.au) . The article on AFL.com.au states that when the trade is complete next week we will end up with 14, 17, 38 and 56. The Hawks don't have those (38 and 56) picks. And if they are counting on the draft order changing it will be more than 2 picks.

Was only on the back end of a 2 year deal so reckon he would have been on $400k max.

Cloke's $ for next year will need to be in their cap [the portion they are paying] even if he leaves
