Mate, loving it. Absolutely loving it. As you know I'm not quite as hands on ( with the U Brew It facility doing much of the work ) but mass produced beer now has lingering after effects for me, I love being able to pick a beer that I'll drink for the next month and when push comes to shove at $30 per carton I'm stoked!

So the brew day with the bro in law is consisting of us both doing a fat yak pale ale kit clone and then an experimental American pale ale with an amber malt and pride of kingwood hops.
May even need another pale ale can to finish off all ingredients.

So far invested $172 but it may push $200 for 80litres of beer, or 10 cartons. (5 each)

Initially it was going to cost around $140 for around 6 cartons each.

But I've decided to go with the liquid malt which is a little more expensive than Dry Malt but does enhance the beer, plus using the speciality yeast and save the kit yeast for homebrew cider!

If you were to do it at home, and that's inevitable, you will get yourself a keg set up.

You ferment your beer as you do now and instead of bottling, just siphon into a keg and bingo, carb it up and it's drinkable in a week or so.

Effectively you brew at the start of the month and by the end you are able to drink it!

The U Brew It lads also do a kegging system ( 3*15L kegs for $180 ) and all the set up that goes with it.

I'm close, but need to reconfigure my man cave a little to accommodate a small bar fridge for the kegs.

Saving you about $1500 [emoji38]

Very interested in how this goes....batches split into 5L kegs or if you have the time bottle it into regular home brew bottles. Big advantage I can see it can control the conditions itself and the app can notify you what is going on.

Yeh I was quite surprised that he went and did it at that cost, even though he got a huge contract from what I did.

I dont have the time to do my homebrew anymore so will give this a go and if I dont like it I'll sell it off.

Looks smart, as in aesthetics, appears small, as in the amount of lager I guzzle, however, if you can bottle the brew right away and get the next one on the go then it might be a winner.

When it's a freebie you can't complain, but I can't see how people would buy this!

MAKE TIME, I must do it the wrong way, I get my gear into the fermenter on avg 30mins, (depending on hops).
Then 3 weeks later....
Sanitising bottles 30 mins
Bottling 30mins

I'd be interested in the cost of a basic brew.

You can do a basic kit / kilo for $20-$22 which gives you 21-23litres depending on if you follow the instructions or want a little higher abv

It's a couple of bucks per litre. Each batch makes 10 litres and the way the system is designed you don't need to piss around cleaning equipment/putting it into bottles or kegs.

It's for the time poor and those that don't have enough space to get the job done.

Yeah, but brewing a big batch, eg 23litres doesn't have to take that long.

Will be ordering a keg king series 4 dual SS tap kegerator later today.
From memory it holds 3 kegs, I already have 2 so will get another one.

Beer on tap in the man cave....giddy up!

With any luck It will be here so when it's bottling/kegging time for the 60l batch (plan for the last Sunday in october, that will be 22 days in the fv ) I have going I will be able to siphon part of my share straight to the keg

I still have quite a few brews in bottles that I have to get through, they will be my travellers and golf beers!

Not sure how this will assist in my current weight loss of 12kgs in 8 weeks though...

I kegged my first brew from the BrewArt machne on the weekend. An American Pale Ale (only one available at HN)

Easy process, got a notification on my phone to say it was ready to keg, kegged it and now wait 2 weeks for secondary fermentation.

Put a new batch on straight away, Australian Premium Lager.

The whole process is simple and it took 5 mins to keg, clean and sanitise the droid ready for the new brew.

Im looking forward to tasting next week to see if its worth it
