I cant believe its still being talked about just because its the crows. Any other clubs & its over with

I think it's more spoken about because of dicks the likes of McDermott, Jarman and Cornes.

Jarman says the crows get a pass mark for this trade period and port get a fail. Simply how?

Cornes gives the crows 4 for the period and Port 2. Again how?

I'm obviously a power man but the Crows lost a player and gained none. Yes, Port didn't gain or lose a player but have ended up with 4 picks in the top 31 in what's known as a very strong draft. Unless I've missed something.

Port wanted to trade, everyone knows that but couldn't get a suiter for Lobbe and Mainly Hartlett, Who knows this could be a wake up call for Gartlett but, No-one has any idea on the discussions that take place between clubs. So when idiots so 'oh they just sat there' etc etc please!

Reasons no 811, 812, 813 and 814 not to listen to these imbeciles.

Same reason I haven't bought an Advertiser or Sunday Mail for 10 or more years. The articles in there are usually a day or two behind the Herald Sun.

Yet you read the paper and you'd think the Crows have committed murder to the Gibbs family. Depends which way you want to view it.

Agree that as overs, but doesn't mean you couldn't work the deal around to make it attractive to Carlton...to me it sounds like it was never going to happen.

Reid is quoted in today's paper as saying that they never offered any player as part of the deal. So that means it was just pick 13 and nothing else.

No it doesn't, you don't know if they offered extra picks. Cornes said on the radio today they also offered next years second round as we didn't have a second round this year.

To me that sounds like two first round picks or nothing

True, the report I read didn't mention any other factors. Previously I thought I had read that it was pick 13 and a player, so I had assumed there weren't any other offers.
Cornes' opinion would just be speculation at this stage. But there is a possibility that he is on the money.

Cornes spent the whole period on Trade Radio, reckon he would know a bit more than the general public. I would say a fair bit went down that he knows about, not just this trade, that is not meant to be revealed

Perfect. Another midfielder with zero leg speed :D

While I feel sorry for Gibbs being stuck at Carlton, I'm pleased the Crows had the good sense not to trade either the picks demanded or the players mooted as possible swaps to get him.

Not 100% the player we are after but I'm still astounded he is being shown the door at freo. Would love to have him at the crows

I think he's the perfect "spare parts" player, would be a bitter sweet victory on the loss of the Gibbs thingy.

Career stats of 25 disposals ( 11 contested 14 uncontested ), 5 tackles and 3 clearances and about to turn 29 would surprise me if nobody was interested in him for a year or two. Could probably get him for next to nothing as well.

When you weigh it up against Gibbs, 28, which would of cost 2 x 1st rd picks, might be worth a gamble on Barlow.

Reid is also never going to mention any players who were offered up in a deal but still remain at the club.
