For my opening bid - my thoughts on teams in Div 2 - without much knowledge of ins and outs (except Harder from Unley - big out)

Athelstone - have good structures, reasonable midfield - some tall forwards - leaky defence and lacked a ruckman - Bottom 5
Broadview - new coach - maybe more consistent - have a good squad but lack the polish - 2016 U/18 premiers will help - Mid 5
Gaza - similar to Broadview - very capable - not consistent - good lads in U/18's (GF Runners up in 2016) - Mid 5
Henley - no knowledge of who they have - can spend to recruit - if so - expect them to make the finals - Top 5
Old Iggies - look to be an ageing list? - Hit and Miss - I'll go bottom 5
Pembroke - not enough quality to compete with the top Div 2 clubs - new coach will be interesting, given my observation at the GF. Bottom 5
PHOS Camden - young side that puts it out there every week - possibly unlucky not to go deeper this year. Top 5 - GF 'smokey"
Scotch OC - who knows - depends on their recruiting - not overly excited about their prospects - Bottom 5
SHOC - had some shockers this year (no pun intended) - good enough is good enough - but guessing here - Mid 5
Unley Mercedes - loss of Harder will impact - very competitive in Div 1, but fell short too often - expect to be up and about - Top 5

I'll look forward to sitting back this time next year and see what sort of a judge I am!!

The odds of Henley's annus horribillus with injuries recurring would be fairly long. I'd expect for them to have a decent year.

Interesting comment about Old Iggies ageing list.....had one bloke over 30 this season, average age most weeks was around 22/23.......without the points saga, club would have finished third.

Tough year for Henley if he's on $800 after they get investigated. Double the money allowed for a marquee player isn't it lol. Just love rumours in the silly season.

Well one in, maybe more to go who knows, know earlier they were looking for a C Grade Coach but that seems to have disappeared as well, havent heard anything but possibility of only 2 sides next season unless there is an influx coming from somewhere

C grade coach been appointed already. Lost a lot of players, signed a lot of players so all will be seen in 5 months time I suppose.
On the upside lots of kids replacing them should be exciting to watch the Tigers next season.

Broadview have now denied Jacob Fishers clearance to Modbury three times.. Any reason why!? Hasn't signed a contract with Broadview for 2017 and was a sponsored player
