Odd comment. Not sure many appointments at Adelaide lately would fit that bill. Last 2 senior coaches, a lot of assistant and support staff had their histories outside the Crows.

Trolling mate when his club is on tilt

Names that came to mind immediately that seem to be "in house" appointments were Burton, Noble, Smart, Bode, Van berlo.
Anyways, you say we're on the tilt, how and where will the Crows improve in 2017? The main problem in the last 2 years finals beltings hasn't been addressed (again) and I don't need to bring up the trade table farce. You had the greatest run with injuries since day dot in 2016, that won't happen again either.
Another year of making up the numbers?

Enjoy battling for the bottom 4!

I'd say no. Do you think it is?

Of course you would and of course it is.

If Wanganeen took up a position at Port after he retired, would that be also?

Not sure what the point is but sure, it would be.

*Wangas did indeed retire, he wasn't sacked. ;)

I'm just using the same theory you are

Think most clubs employ with their own club environment

Fagan, Pyke, Camporeale and Walsh in recent times were all from outside the club.

Not sure Noble fitted the bill of jobs for the boys either

Nah, you sacked him so he's not one of the boys anymore.

Question or trolling?
Why wouldn't you appoint good qualified people already in your club to compliment external people? Most clubs have a number of ex players in assistant or development roles. The obvious improvement will come from the 10 - 50 game, under 25 year old players who are still developing. Crouch x2, McGovern, Milera, Lever, Atkins, Cameron come to mind straight away and then young players we didn't see last year like Hampton, Knight, Wigg, Dodee all looking to press there case for a game.

Still plenty of up side IMO to come from within even though we haven't recruited during the off season.

Interesting though, High Performance Manager to Football Chief, big promotion.

Boys club!
Isn't he good mates with Ricciuto?

Everyone mocked him when he was appointed high performance manager last season and that proved to have been a great appointment. Burton is rated very highly within the football industry with his high performance and football knowledge. Noble was a bit of a no one or 'just a recruiter' when he was made Head of football and look at his reputation now.

I'll back Fages and Roo in with there decision. They haven't done much wrong since taking charge.

You appoint the best person for the job whether that's internal or externally.
If Burton was the best candidate then good on him.
Just seems like a very quick rise to the top in a short time.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Lets get a guy who has been at Brisbane and had one year as our fitness coach, admit he is not ready for the role, yet appoint him anyway!!!

if you think he was the fitness coach, you should either do some more research, or save your opinion for a topic you know something about.
