Joe Mennie - NTBPA

good 1st class cricketer hasn't the toys to cut it at the Test level.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Nah, Siddle is quicker (not by much) and bowls better areas.

Bird would've been a better option if they weren't going to pick Siddle.

Agree I haven't seen much of him before but I can't believe his taken a lot of wickets at shield level

Will never be a test cricketer and probably shows the lack of batting depth

All of a sudden, noticeable movement off the deck from Hazlewood and Mennie since lunch. Sticky wicket with the covers down over lunch?

Old bastards getting a gig with the test side. Revolving door selections. Ineffective spinners. Bowlers selected on batting ability rather than wicket taking ability. We are England 2007.

A lot of tough criticism towards Mennie not being up to scratch.. fair enough too.. but just wondering does anyone else think Nathan Lyon is under the pump at the moment as well?

He hasn't been overly effective of late, and his economy rates seem to be increasing..

Suddenly Shaun Marsh appears a great option at the top of the order.
