Should it go to Scott Thompson instead as if you take out votes from Essendon games he won it?

No.
It's no different than a player being suspended during the year.
Correct decision in the end

Sportsbet have paid out as bonus bets if you backed either of the new winners.

No one else at Essendon outside of the banned players polled a vote in the 2012 Brownlow. Thought Zaharakis would have polled some votes.

Not quite. I put 15 on Cotchin and have received 15 back (twice) but not refunded at the odds I put it on Cotchin originally.

Hard to swallow, isn't it?

Ah well, we all know the truth (?) and we can all just remember 2012 as the year there was no Brownlow winner.

Accolades don't define a player and the impact they had on the game. In this instance it makes little difference as Lethal Leigh was so much more than Mitchell could ever hope to be. Matthews also kicked 915 goals.

Yeah it looks like I was only refunded my bet on Cotchin, not paid out the winnings.

Class action anyone? ;)

I had $65 returned, so I must have had some decent bets going .. I didn't expect anything back (and the free bet didn't last long lol). No point with a class action, imho the bookies haven't been irresponsible here, they paid on the winning bets at the time. I feel dirty for defending them though.

He also ended Barrie Robran's career.
