Woodville hit another low tonight in sportsmanship in the 20/20 against West Torrens. Both captains agreed to do an early toss at 4.40pm so the game could start just after 5pm, as it gets that dark batting second at 8pm. Woodville won the toss and batted, then after discussions with their Coach and couple of senior players, changed their mind and wanted to start at 5.20.

Absolute dog act and sums up those couple of people (easy when you get contracts because of your surname). Few words were said by coaches as was not in the spirit of the game, but Karma got them in the end by getting a belting.

Good luck to Northerns this weekend, hope Cosi scores a double ton!

Only watched the Port innings, young lad for East Torrens who opened down wind had some decent wheels. Skittled one of the Port openers and he had no idea what happened. Some good cricket played, the surface looked an absolute treat.

I think Port got around 130 odd, I didn't hang around to see the East Torrens innings. I ran out of beer.

Is that their English player? Atkinson I think. Has some wraps on him.

East Torrens have started the season well in all formats. That Keep guy seems line a handy pick up.

Must be a whole club thing, a junior coach was being overruled by a club official who was not at the game week one

Like I said they have form in this area. No wonder they got off lightly from the proposed Western Suburbs merger. The toys would have been well and truly tossed out of the cot

Round 4 Tips

Going against recent trends but I reckon there will be six results this round. With Saturday/Sunday games plus some warm weather the curators will pump more water into the decks that usual.

Prospect vs Adelaide
Tough call but going to go for the visitors narrowly. Hardest game to tip. Prospect have been a bit of a bogey team for Adelaide recently but I like Adelaide this year.

West Torrens vs University
Going for the Eagles here. Uni have a strong top three but get through them I think they're vulnerable. Daniel Drew and Spencer Johnson the keys.

Southern District vs East Torrens
Really liking East Torrens' start to the season. Batters in form and quicks sharing the wickets. Reigning premiers knocked off on their home deck in a boilover! Staunton to come out of retirement by Christmas!

Tea Tree Gully vs Sturt
Can't go past the Gullies on their home deck. Play that ground superbly, bat very deep.

Glenelg vs Port Adelaide
The Bays look the real deal so far. Pretty sure they're undefeated in every format so far? Palindromes here.

Northern Districts vs Woodville
Jets haven't beaten the Peckers since 2009/10
Think that run will continue here. Woodville too even across the board though they need Francesca back fit asap.

Neate out for Adelaide, and no Raphael, Valence and Cormack on the Sunday......tough gig for who ever comes in as the 2's bowlers can't buy a wicket at the minute

Think there could be couple of upsets, games will depend on the toss and who cant play Sunday with the Futures players unavailable.

Reckon if Cosi makes runs, they will beat Woodville. Heard both Francesca and Turdley are injured, and if they bowl on Sunday wont have Andrews either, so leaves very week bowling line up.

Glenelg struggling to take wickets, as are Sturt - no point making over 400 if you cant take 10 wickets - more 5 point draws there.

ET and Southerns be a cracker, both in form. ET maybe to get the chocolates, not time for them to choke till February!

Reckon Uni favourites over WT now, rumour Mennie playing and has no bowling restrictions on hîm! If that's the case, why is he not playing for Redbacks, makes no sense!

All Australian players bar the quicks fronted for the shield but they got a few more days rest. Would expect all of them to play club cricket this weekend 25-30 overs ready for the Test Squad on Monday.
