Congratulations to them all.
Is that record low?

I think in the 2001 draft only 2 SA players were drafted. It was the year that Mark Jamar was expected to be drafted and only ended up being rookie listed. The two players drafted I think both came from the Eagles.

Yes both from the Eagles. Jarrad Wright to the Brisbane Lions at pick 35 and Brian Lake to the Western Bulldogs at pick 71. I've never heard of the first bloke but Lake had a great career.

I think Jared Poulton fro the magpies was there as well.

Welcome to Westies world

Same happened to us not long ago when we had more players drafted than any other in a ten year period. I'm just stoked that most of them are going interstate. Be terrible for us if they got drafted by the Crows or Port as we'd be playing against us. Terrible PR exercise by the Crows having South Australians hoping their players go interstate.

Spot on Wedgie..
My greatest fear is Sturt players being drafted by the Power or the Crows.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

I should have worded my response more carefully, In 2001 there were only 2 players drafted from the SANFL. Jared Poulton had been on Port's AFL list since 1999, He was delisted by them in 2001 and then immediately drafted again.

Sam Colquhoun to Sturt? His grandparents are keen Sturt supporters.

$25k is a steal, if you listen to Jake's old Man....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hilarious, so true. Old Kurt is an absolute flog, never met anyone that likes the bloke. Half feel sorry for Jake in a way. He has not recovered from Jake not getting drafted and Billy Stretch did, as those two were very similar all thru their Henley Junior days. Kurt's whole time in charge of Metro West was to help promote his kids, now he can't stand the fact he can't control Jakes future. Who would want the kid now, a third club?

I don't like the bloke so wouldn't listen or talk to him. Jake would look good in red white and blue.
