Poor effort by the Redbacks from the position we were in. Made 400 and had them 5/131. Hard to believe you'd lose outright from there though the Vics are a good team.

Travis Head out next game due to the one dayers. Ross? Raphael? Wildcard Jake Winter? Or plonk Alex Gregory in as an allrounder to give us an extra bowling option?

Zampa hardly bowled in the 2nd innings. We went with our quicks the bulk of the time. If he's not goinh to bowl much on Day 4 in the 4th innings when will he? He's out next game anyway - also in one day squad. Andrews or Cormack? Or will we play four quicks?

Ferguson skipper?

I'd be happy with Cormack and Gregory coming into the side - see how they go.

Cormack nowhere near ready, is a 1 day bowler, hardly takes any wickets in two day stuff. In recent Futures Match, Andrews bowled three times the amount of overs than Cormack did in that game, so as Redbacks knew Zampa was not playing, that makes you think Andrews will play.

Ross to replace Head, that is certain. Smith maybe gets dropped for Raphael. Winter not ready, cant play the short ball, and as an opener that is crucial. Was hit in head in last game in QLD, and did not bat second innings. Again, if they had plans to open him he would have opened in that game, but it was Raph and Dalton (who got a pair and faced three balls in total!!).

Ferg definitely will be captain. Team named Thursday.

Looks like Raphael in for Head. Has made runs at grade and Futures level and also against the South Africans so fair enough.

Andrews in for Zampa

Grant in for Benton

Assume it's between Andrews and Grant for the fourth boeling spot. Can't see them playing no spinner, especially with Head not being available.

You'd hope they learnt their lesson with only Trav as the spinner from the Shield Final....

Sounding like they'll go with four quicks

Means they have to win the toss and bowl. Risky.
