I know a guy, few on here would too, went to a chiro he had been seeing for years and he pushed incorrectly. He actually died three times in the next two hours but the ambo's got him back. Suffers from chronic headaches and is no longer able to work or play golf

100% correct.
Physio or Dr depending on the complaint.

Depends on the problem.
I had lower and upper back pain and saw 2 GP's (hoping for a good referral) and 3 different Physio's over a 12 month period hoping they would fix the issue.
It only got worse until I saw a Chiro.
4 visits later it was 70-80% better.
I go back every 3 months for a re-alignment but well worth it.
Each to their own I guess!

Not really, chiros will possibly make you feel better temporarily (if they don't give you a stroke like has happened) which is how they make money as people keep coming back to get temporarily relief with no long term relief making things worse if anything. Be safer and just as successful going to a dodgy church and getting a pastor to smack you on the head.

I tried that but he asked me to pull my pants down and bend over first.........

Last year the fuel pump went on the work van and 12 months later.......
Add in to that, work didn't renew the roadside assistance, so yesterday had to join with the RAA.
Looks like today it should be towed!

At the risk of questioning the keeper of all knowledge, I too have had success with a chiropractor who, despite the common assertion does not book me in for repeat visits, quite the contrary in fact, when I've been for a treatment ( last one about 18 months ago ) he always signs off with "Come back if you need me, if not I wish you well as we may not see each other again". No repeat booking, no follow up, just see him when you need him.

Since an injury some years ago I do a chiro visit every couple of years and see my muscular therapist once a year in between and each visit to both results in another 8-10 months of pain free existence. Each to their own indeed.

I'm also an atheist.

I believe in Teletubbies. When I had a sore back, lost two legs and was pronounced dead for 2 years I got Tinky Winky to belt me with his handbag, La La threw her ball at me, Dipsy did a dance in his hat and Po rode around the whole scene on her scooter. Only needed one treatment and I'm now training for the Olympics in every sport. Each to their own.

PS There's a big difference between being the keeper of all knowledge and just having a bit of common sense and intelligence but thanks for the compliment.

You thought I was referring to you.

PS - Just because I've had different experiences to you, doesn't make mine wrong or that they never happened.

Thanks for the chuckle.

I agree, as I said each to their own.
Chiropractors work for you, Teletubbies works for me.

Anyway I'm off to the pub. Having a dozen beers won't get me drunk but praying to the flying spaghetti monster between pints will.

I take it with me, need at least 5 pints/prayers before I change into it.

I did an elective in Physical Therapy as a medical student and learned manipulation technique.
A guy I knew years later after my graduation had been going to a Chiro for two years and I fixed him in one manipulation.
The trick was working out first at what level the overridden articular facet was and making most of the stretch effect occur in the right spot, as distinct from thinking your aim was to stretch and "straighten" to entire spinal column.

That said people do benefit from Chiropractic treatment if they have a back problem.
The problem is when the Chiro believes he (or she) can treat unrelated things like lumps in the breast by the same technique.

Really? I thought there were people who bought it to stay thin. I never thought there were people who liked the taste.
I feel like buying a tub of cram and blending it together to make it normal again.
