That offer was made several months ago by McLachlan directly to Bryan Cousins and remains open-ended.
Im talking years ago
Why do the AFL need to be responsible for Ben? His decisions weren't made on tge footy field.
The only thing I can say that the AFL is responsible for and itisn't just solely them. The AFL clubs also. And that is for the amount of money Ben was able to make while he played ffooty. Now I am not saying that if the money he was getting paid wasn't as significant he wouldn't be able to fund his habit as he would've found other means of paying with what he was earning. Junkies and addicts will always find a way to support their habit no matter how much money they have. The AFL and the clubs financial agreements just make it a hell of a lot easier for the players to have a lot of money to throw around. Obviously like what Ben did. Other than what I am trying to say. The only main responsibility lays purely on Ben.
