In the UK for this Christmas, with Mrs Jase's family... Don't know what the are doing, apart from a massive lunch, lots of beer, a trip to the local, about 13 degrees. Beautiful...

Lunch will be roasts, veggies, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatos, gravy...

At Adelaide airport, on board a flight to Guangzhou, 4 hours at Guangzhou airport, on board a flight to Hanoi, and then Hanoi airport.

Down to Aldinga to my brother and sister outlaws place for lunch. Brother, Mrs, two kids, Me, Mrs, two kids, Mum and Step Dad.

They're renting a small place while they build at Seaford so it's going to be cramped and yuck. Plan was to go to Silver Sands with the kayaks and some nibble mid afternoon, more than likely it will be home and around the mates place in their pool by 5pm.

Section 80 says Total Fire bans apply to fires in the open air.

My plan, clear the cars out out of the garage that is UMR shut the garage doors and cook in a closed environment - if a Total Fire Ban day is declared in the Metropolitan area.

That is precisely what I will be doing and more likely as I live in the Mt Lofty Ranges district.
Although we do it on Christmas Eve.
I can do the 10 Black Pudding in the gas BBQ as a roast at the same time.

In an open space

carport - no
patio - no (even with blinds down)
verandah - no

If they are gassed fueled or solid fuel in an Enclosed garage (closed space) - yes

As the CFS bloke I spoke to to today said - technically you're fine but why would you want to as you'd smoke it out?

Xmas morning go up to Mums to open presents with my little brother. He's 14 soon so that tradition might stop in the next few years.

We then jump in the car and drive up to the sister in laws compound in Clare. There will be a traditional lunch spread, volleyball and cricket set up, and then a BBQ dinner.

They have an indoor half-Olympic sized pool complete with diving boards, so I'll be spending most of my time in the shallow end with a Sailor Jerrys in hand yelling at the kids.

The next morning we drive back to Mums and have our Xmas lunch with her, Nan and my brothers.

Christmas was a bit difficult last year and will be again this year as my brother has broken off contact with my father and I my dad's an invalid now which makes things harder. I'll be having lunch at dad's place while my brother has lunch at my mum's place and then after that's all done I'll have tea at my mum's place. Not looking forward to this 40 degree day business either.

Luckily they invented air conditioners recently! ;)
Just as luckily my girlfriend can cook roasts the day before and somehow makes them taste fresh out of the oven after a quick reheat.
