In an open space

carport - no
patio - no (even with blinds down)
verandah - no

If they are gassed fueled or solid fuel in an Enclosed garage (closed space) - yes

As the CFS bloke I spoke to to today said - technically you're fine but why would you want to as you'd smoke it out?

Spot on. I cook mine in my 20x24 garage at the rear of my yard. Right next to a 10,000 litre rain water tank!

Lunch at Prancing Pony on Christmas Eve with my mum and her husband.
Then Christmas Day to the in-laws so they can give our kids more presents than Santa did...
Visit the Mrs DW's grandmother in the nursing home just down the road.
Then to Mrs DW's cousin's place at Woodville, where there will be a pool.
At 4pm, I'll settle into the Cooper's Bar at the airport, before flying out to Melbourne for the cricket.
See ya, kids!

Mrs am bays family Christmas "turn" this year - MIL and FIL driving up from the country on Christmas eve

Christmas Eve our place - for a weber corned beef roast

Christmas day lunch (weber roast turkeys is the plan ;) ) followed by cold meats and salads for tea - our place again

Boxing day our place again - Boxing day test match is the plan - leftovers and BBQ tea

Worst of it, got the in-laws from hell (well two kids from hell - SIL, BIL and middle child aren't too bad) for the three days as well. two shits who a) can't shut up, b) one hog toys and destroys things, and c) are loosely monitored buy there parents (it's all too hard).

Three stinkers of days (weather wise), two sh!ts of kids cooped up inside for three days - if you hear of a police incident in the Southern Suburbs on Boxing day it's will be a justifiable homicide by my reckoning.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Brother in laws place for lunch. Probably won't leave the pool for the duration of the stay, "supervising" Junior Valleys :D

Mid afternoon we will head to my cousins place to see my side of the family, and we will stay there until Junior decides he has had enough.

I will get the weber fired up early in the day, so that by midday - the lid comes off the 1st beer. Prawns to warm up, then roast (chicken, leg of lamb) along with turkey and every bloody vegetable you can imagine. Everyone brings something so it kind of works for us. I only do a lamb on the weber..... I draw the line there. A sneaky bottle or 2 of red.... and asleep on the lounge by 7.30pm. Boxing day tradition is to watch the 1st session of play, from the MCG in bed..... that is a given. Outside chance of a "wellington"....if I play my cards right!

No Weber if that is the temperature due to fire ban ;) ;)

the daffy still a chance?

On the way to spend Christmas with my parents in the Snowy Mountains. Knocked off at 3 yesterday and drove to Hay last night. Final 4 hours this morning. Up at 4 tomorrow to watch the NFL and big lunch for Christmas Day. Roast Pork, Turducken, Ham and a huge spread of veggies. Depending on the weather will go for dip in one of the lakes or rivers. Catch up with a few other rellies and then drive home Tuesday

Christmas Day never really been a big one for me, prefer to save it for Boxing Day. So pressies etc with the kids in the morning, lunch at sisters place, then home by the pool for the afternoon/evening. Hopefully it goes quickly so can get stuck into the beers, cricket and races on Monday.

Wishing all SAFootyer's and their families a Merry Christmas.

Have a ripper time lad, it's something you'll never forget. I was lucky enough to attend the Ashes Boxing Day Test where Warnie got his 700th Test wicket, bloody Poms fell in a heap though and had to spend day 5 shopping with the missus. Hope you have better luck.
