Heading out on Saturday to the Bastard Pole grounds, been getting reports from my old man that he's bagging out during the week ( not this week, dodge and all ) so hoping to get my share on Saturday.

One of the fishing forums I visit hasn't mentioned the whiting yet .
Me I'm out of it for awhile
I've been reading and seeing pictures of rainbow or brown trout up in the hills somewhere no idea where

When no one mentions it, it means they are already getting them.
I've been getting a few of them, good size early, but they are getting thinned out a bit now, but just a few more throw backs.

Well me flicking lures at bream would have ended due to winter if I could go again I'll wait until later in the year .
But what you say is correct a bit like hearing ST were starting up and know they were hitting lures for at least two months before people were saying they about in like the port rice .

Me being a bit held up with my injury fishing is waiting until the warm returns . For me the patowalunga is growing weed the bream will be moving to their winter home .
What's a good tackle shop to look at gear not sure I wanna buy .
But a good shop to go have a look see .
I do go to certain places had the odd issue bought a 100 size reel one year told it will flick lures go back a year later oh no you can't use lures with a 100
I know that's rubbish .
So any clues on a good tackle shop not too pricy

Right, what's everyone on at the moment?

Blueys on Henley and Grange jettys on the outgoing tide. Squid down South of Brighton. Snapper out there, just need the GPS marks. ;)

Brighton and Somerton have some yellow fin, if you're keen enough to go to Port Gawler or Thompsons Beach you'll be eating some later that day.

If you're in the Tennyson shallows or the in front of the Broadway Kiosk at the bottom of the Broadway, Glenelg, you'll go ok.

Where are you based?

Never have I encountered so many Snook about. Went out from Nth Haven Monday, would have caught close to 50 in 3 or 4 hours just casting a little Chrome lure from the back of the boat.
