Cry me a river Gleeson

How many home town calls do Perth get each week. He's always in the ears of the refs and they fall for it week-in, week-out

I'm glad they are bottom

The Perth Wildcats are imploding now releasing import Jaron Johnson for the second time this season, their top scorer from last night's loss to the 36ers.

Must be more to it. Is there enough games to qualify another import if they make finals?

Gleeson is a wanker. How many clubs over the years have gone to Perth and been utterly destroyed by ref calls. Big trouble behind the scenes there one thinks.

Melbourne United have announced the signing of import Josh Boone a 6'10" PF/C who has been signed as an injury replacement for Devin Williams who is expected to be out for 3-6 weeks with a knee injury. Boone played four years in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets from 2006-2010 and had a brief stint in Turkey earlier this season.

The NZ Breakers have signed import Paul Carter a 6'8" forward with their vacant third import spot as a replacement player for Corey Webster. Carter most recently played in Germany and was a teammate of Akil Mitchell in France last season.

Checking over some stuff as the cricket is on. How the hell does Sydney play 5 more games at this point of the year compared to Cairns in an 8 team comp? I know it all evens out but that is terrible fixturing!

A 5 game difference at the same point of the season is a bit silly, 2-3 games no worries but 5 games is a bit too much.

I think the schedule is way too compressed for my liking. I'd like to see the stats but I think teams that play two games in the same weekend seem to nearly always lose the second game and often you can see a difference in the top scorers from the first game to the second game i.e. the guys that stood out in the first game are usually a bit buggered in the second game and the ones that didn't do much in the first game carry the load in the second game.

The other thing I don't like is the shortened round over the Christmas period. I know Christmas is considered sacrosanct but only 3 games played last round when Christmas was on a Sunday? Schedule some double-headers on the Thursday or Friday and schedule a game on the Saturday at least in the afternoon giving players the time to get back home in time for Christmas with family.

Absolutely he just adds something no other commentator does, I've really missed him doing NBL games and all his expressions.

More injury news for the Brisbane Bullets announcing the signing of local PG Isaih Tueta as an injury replacement for Anthony Petrie who will miss the rest of the season with cartilage damage in his left knee requiring surgery. Tueta had a short stint earlier this season with the NZ Breakers as an injury replacement and plays for the Brisbane Spartans in the SEABL.
