Honestly, this is a bit of a conspiracy theory.. but do people really think all these players are getting injured, or is it an excuse used by CA to warrant their dumping while saving face? If CA dropped Marsh on form after naming him for India imagine the backlash!

Siddle - controversial selection Perth test.. dropped "injured" next test, not seen again.
Lynn - selected in ODI on the back of T20 form.. out to a horrible shot.. "injured" next ODI.
Marsh - has a stinker in last nights game.. "injured" next day.

Handscomb & Khawaja the replacements, who were both questioned why they weren't included in the original squads..

Coincidence?

Agree but no so much conspiracy but more damage control, public relation reasons

Like you said hard to defend Mitch Marsh selection etc say his injured and you don't even need to call press conference do it in a media realease

Poor selections. Would have liked to see Trav Head open again or at 3 with Smith batting 4.

Zampa needed to play IMO and obviously M Marsh not in the side. How do Boof and Smith justify batting Marsh at 4? Absolutely baffling.

Need to play another specialist batsman IMO. 1 too many alrounders. Still have Maxwell/Head, Zampa, Faulkner + 2 quicks. 6 bowling options is plenty IMO.

Marsh going to India is an early Aprils fools joke right?

I agree - Maxwell hasn't even bowled a ball in the 2x ODI's (yet is on the plane to India as a spinner/batsman  )

Surely Maxwell's batting isnt more valuable than a specialist? Even Marsh has only bowled 6 overs in each of the games.

Not a bad conspiracy theory there Zartan and I think it has some substance regarding Siddle and now Marsh. Suddenly, out of nowhere Marsh is injured, I wasn't surprised when I read the article about it but I thought well this is typical of a Marsh after a poor performance.

Lynn is legitimately injured though unfortunately, a bulging disc is his neck wouldn't be a nice thing to have. He said he was on some pretty good painkillers in a recent interview and after hearing that I was worried he wasn't 100% and now he has succumbed to it. Horrible timing for him.

so why the hell did they bat him at number 4 in the one day side?

the mixed messages are astounding regarding the marshes

And he said that he still sees himself as a batting allrounder!

These blokes are f**king delusional.

Yeah lol, Stoinis has struggled for runs and wickets this season. I like him but I'm dumbfounded to see that he's Marsh's replacement.

I was guessing they'd bring in Hilton Cartwright considering he was in the squad for the Chappell-Hadlee series or even bring George Bailey back in.

Had a mate who played against Stoinis in a NPS game, and he reckons they'd laugh about him because how easy he was to set up to get out.. if that's coming from young up and coming blokes, how's he gonna go against a national side?!

CA's obsession with all-rounders is becoming sickening.

Just bring Steve Waugh, he'd still be a better all rounder than those blokes

Exactly.
It just sends mixed messages to him and others.
Cartwright did nothing wrong in his one off appearance.

Except Smith rated his bowling that highly that he was given zero overs in the second dig. Horrible bowler

Not Cartwright's fault that Smith didn't bowl him.
They picked him so they may as well bowl him to see how he goes.
He looked more comfortable batting than either Maddison or Fergie did.

Fergusson came in at 3/SFA, against Saffers, paki bowling terrible
Cartwright came in at about 4/500
