Great night at Tanunda for the ACA event last night - even if the event was in a sweat lodge. Phewwwwwwww! Sweat city.
Good hospitality and the chats on stage were great fun.
Best of luck to those playing tonight. Should be fun, even if it is bloody hot.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

The competitions look quite close
Any flag predictions for A1 AND A1 reserves?
Who will go up?
Who will come down?

One more year, so if the turf doesn't go in by January 2018 it will be tough to stay up for the 2018/19 season

In an ideal world Sandy Creek stay up and Eudunda come up from the reserves which would mean only one hard wicket in the ones next year.
Although it looks like Mallala will finish top and come up. In the ones Sandy will need to probably win one of their last two games to avoid being relegated.

In other news rumour has it Scally got a golden duck against his old side... is this correct?

Looks very tight in the ones, two teams still fighting for top. GC in 6th might be the only position that cant change

Also congrats to Big Coombsy, who hit 209* for Freeling A3s on the weekend, from what i can see it might be the highest score in the BLCA in the MyCricket era

Think that would be right.

Previous to that, of blokes still playing i reckon Craig Reimann and Kym Vivian both made A1 doubles, not sure about the lower grades, I reckon someone from Riv/tarlee or Marrabel/sadd made a triple in a lower grade, may have been Chris Busch.

Kym Vivian made 243 in A1 at the Dog Track one day against Light Pass - can't remember what year.

Also remember Matt George made 200 against us for Nuri in A1. Sticks in my mind as I dropped him on 10 and it was about 40 degrees...

On that Day's what's your opinion on games being set up for outrights and points?

My opinion only but it stinks. I am all for a team winning outright but facing 12 overs not being all out and giving the opposition 10 overs to get the runs in my eyes is nothing short of match fixing.

Looked like it happened last round in the gilbert valley game as well.

Is this the right look for A1 cricket in the BLG???

Just the BL will do fine mate.
Totally agree, I dont know what Lyndoch or Gawler Central were thinking, for them to win outright they need to take 10 wickets in the 4th innings, just not going to happen in that short time frame. All the advantages are with the team batting last, they can just shut up shop if they arent going to get the runs

Coombsey was a regular on here a few years back, he came in like a wrecking ball.

Georgey had a year to remember if i recall correctly. 6 or 7 tons including that 200. I think one of those was against GV when i played on the bye. hitting sixes over cover into the tennis courts for fun at Nuri.

I think big sos busch may have struck a 300 at Moculta. tiny ground for a big man

A very interesting weekend ahead.

We are in a similar position to the A1s in the threes. Must win to play finals.

You would think freeling will beat sandy although if Deiner and mclean get going anything can happen. While ango play kapunda and our A1s play south.
Those games could go either way. If freeling win and GV and kapunda lose it will come down to wickets and runs for fourth spot. very interesting.

How can we forget that Extractor?? Your Captain at the time was very disappointed!

A guy named Jason Cranbourne (?) made 300+ for Riverton / Tarlee on Tarlee oval in the late 80's I recall.
