A trade might have got Gibbs over the line.

Crouch ruled out of the preseason comp. Adelaide's last game is March 11 in the JLT series, so they've ruled him out 4 weeks in advance and it was two weeks ago that it was first reported.

Clearly more than a bit of tightness. Can't take a trick and as noted, just about the worst time to do a decent hammy.

Really disappointing. One injury after the other for him and seems to be always around this time of year. Body might not be able to handle the pre season load

Cleary worse than first thought, wouldn't think he would be anywhere near ready to go in round 1

What Jim said.
Might need a modified program for the rest of his career. Maybe the speed of the midfield is not for him and will need to re=invent himself as a small forward/defender.
Worst case, finished up.

Lever has a slight hammy strain now and Sloane copped a fractured eye socket but should be ok for round 1

Geez I hope the Crows dont have a bad run with injury this year, what a shame that would be.

Not good news for Sloaney, usually a 5-6 week recovery from surgery so puts him in doubt for round 1 which is 5 weeks away. At least he can continue to train (obviously non contact) and keep his fitness.
Looking forward to watching the trial game Friday night, should have an exciting midfield without Sloane, Thompson, BCrouch. Reports from match simulation last couple of weeks is that Milera and Knight are tearing it up, throw in Cameron we should have a bit of pace going through there will be good to see what they can offer.

Time for a helmet with cheekbone protection as a permanent feature for Sloaney?

Definitely going to test depth early, but I am looking forward to see how the likes of CEY, Milera, Hampson etc go with a few games strung together.

When did you pick up Hampson? Did Megan come with him? Might be worth having a look at a Crows game ;)
