Going to my best mate's wedding in Sydney Friday, and of course Winx and Hartnell running on Saturday at Randwick. Perfect timing, especially having the wedding on the Friday! Well excited. Bit of weather around this week over there I see. Not that it will make much difference to the great mare I don't imagine.

Her last race ride was sublime (and may or may not have been the last leg of someone's multi...)

Great to see Ronnie Stewart start getting some winners. Now based himself up in QLD and seems to be paying off.
Gives his horses every possible.

IMHO, you could make a case for him being no.2 to only Jeff Lloyd since Xmas for Queensland jockeys as he's got quite a few roughies home in that time - far more than any other jockey on metro tracks in Australia I would have thought. They're not barely into double figures either, we're talking 20, 30, 40 and 50 buckers.

Speaking of Lloyd, it would be fantastic for Queensland racing if Houtzen can take home the Golden Slipper. You can debate the quality of field it beat on Saturday, although I've never heard of a 2yo having to carry 63kg in recent memory, but it's win in the Millions was outrageous after it drew the car park and it broke the Doomben track record on debut for 1050m and in the process beat a horse called Garrard by four lengths - a horse that Catchy beat by a length on it's debut

Chauffeur was pretty impressive in that MM race too, and beats Houtzen with another 10-20 metres .. Didn't see its run on Sunday at Canberra but noticed it didn't run a drum. If it starts in the Slipper should be a good price (currently $31 in all-in markets)

These are my 2 picks also and have a value!
I liked De Little Engine's run last week, ran on really well.
Like a carousel ran well 2 starts ago, her last 200 was quick. Can probably forgive her run last start after getting too far back.

Haven't studied yet, but think Yendall on Honey Steel's Gold at $51 might well feature in my selections.
