9/256, stumps day one. At least we ended the day on a good note, good work from Starc and Hoff.

We'll need to bowl exceptionally and the Indian top order will have to fall like Ninepins for us to have a genuine chance of winning. Looking forward to seeing what day two brings us.

Depends how long India want to bat for

O'Keefe could be the Ace in the deck here. This pitch is bullshit and if he can get the ball to grip and bounce/turn on the right handers then a bag is to be had.

I think India will bat better than us there is no doubt there. But im not so sure it will be as easy as some have suggested.

That pitch is like you local park that doesnt get watered and then you mow it, let it die and murder a hooker on it and the drag the body all over it and still not roll it.

Like christ, its like a normal 3rd day Indian pitch!

50 for Starc as he smacks another boundary. 53 from 47, Australia 9/250

I see he smacked a few sixes off spin on his way to 53. Genuine slogger. Like I said smack the **** out of it. So Starc.

Whilst I agree in principle the pitch looks shit house the fact remains the top 5 all faced 50+ balls and all well and truly got a start and no one went on with it. That is where I believe the game has been lost by the Aussies, The top tear of world cricket sides if and when all of your top 5 bats face 50 balls plus there simply must be a minimum of 1 ton and realistically probably 2. With no research at all if some had said to me 'What score did we end up with if the top 5 bats all faced more than 50 balls?' my answer would be 400plus, India in the same position defiantly would've.

ICC announced overnight that Renshaw would be credited with a century for his innings last night as the scoreboard missed a number of 'runs' whilst he was at the crease and in the change room

I reckon if you ask either of the Marsh brother's to show you their knees. You would find callouses on both knees from sucking a lot of "Chickens" to get their place on the team.

To be honest 256 is more than I thought we would make in any innings. Some good slogging by Starc at the end.

Almost the way you should approach spin. Yeah it was a handy innings. I think we really need to "choke" India when we bowl and not give them a chance to build partnerships. Because as we have seen. They can make a lot of runs very quickly. I'm quite nervous about Lyon's chances of taking lots of wickets. But O'Keefe has the chances with his variations. How many variations does Agar have in his spin bowling?

I like SOK but he has two variations. The straight one and the one that goes on straight[emoji3]
