Are Lockleys flag favourites in here? From what I hear they've done some very good recruiting over the summer.

Strong side from last year, add to that a player only a couple years out of league footy, his mates from Barmera, and some talented 0 point juniors returning.

From what I have heard being around the western suburbs is Lockleys are a chance. Have heard of some good recruiting bringing some former juniors back. However have lost a few including arguably their best mid/forward who seems to have moved to Darwin according to Facebook, runner up in B and F and top 5 in the medal last year, so be tough to replace. Top 3 I think, Pooraka favourites in my opionion.

Saw big Slaven Pavic pounding the pavement on my way home from work the other night Zed. Great to see the big fella looking fit. Will be massive for you to have him at the start of the season this year.

Well he couldn't in round 1 1997 so not sure he would now. That of course was the famous "Pitiful Pitman" quote from Malcolm Blight.

That was Round 2. In Round 1 we beat Brisbane by 6 goals. A Brisbane who had just made a preliminary final and gained several of the now defunct Fitzroy's best players. As an aside Barry Stanfield kicked 5.

For the record Pittman picked up a lazy 14 disposals, 23 hit outs and a goal for his troubles rucking against a reasonably talented Clark Keating and Matthew Clarke tandem.
