Leppitch has laid a lot of seeds that will eventually flower lol and fagan will get all the credit

Just like McCartney & Beveridge

Although Leppitch is a ranga and its a tough road to be a ranga and a coach at same time :D

One things for sure, if the industry believes the stories Barrett is pedalling about his temper, he probably wont work at another AFL club again.
Baron Greenback wrote:I know for a fact (via a text message to a friend) that he wanted to knock Barrett's block off last night.
But he composed himself very well.
Had the opportunity to tee off last night and bowed out with the utmost dignity.
Hopefully he finds another job soon. If not in coaching, then I think a role in the media awaits.

Two stories about his temper in three or four posts (admittedly one 'controlling' his temper but still and admission that he wanted to knock a guys block off). Interesting. Conversely look at the composure of Beveridge? Easy to look composed after a win, but after a GF win?? Unreal.

I disagree.

We didn't make a shred of progress under Leppitsch.

Should never have been appointed in the first place. Everyone bar the Brisbane board could see that.

Got a fairly talented batch of young talls coming through. Come about 2018 they will be causing a lot of carnage on other teams

Dane Beams has been appointed the new Captain. Im surpised considering he has only played 2 games for them, that said it was never going to be Rocky again with all the controvesy he has caused. I would have thought Zorko would be better but obviously the playing group thought otherwise

They look a lot more structured, fitter and have more intent. Decent midfield and a couple of big lads up forward who are developing nicely. Will be exciting to watch throughout the year.

Hmmmm, I can't see them winning away from home, they'd be 50/50 or better on a few up there.
R4 Richmond
R6 Port
R12 Freo
R18 Carlton
R21 Gold Coast
R23 North Melb

Essendon in round 2 I cannot judge, they are going to be anyone's guess at this stage, it will be hard to tell what the year break has done for the players.

Funny you say that, it cost my daughter 1st place in my work tipping comp a couple of years back as she had them to beat the Dogs in Melbourne in her tips, she changed it after I questioned her and they won, she would've had a clean sweep for the round and a bonus point which would've seen her win, I ended up winning it and she came 2nd, I did split the two prize moneys with her though.

They will knock off a Geelong or someone decent in some torrential rain or something like that too.

Took the trip to Noarlunga today, thought the Lions were quiet good on field and much better than last year. Will win more games this year than last.

The players after the game were fantastic, spent a good half an hour with the few Lions supporters there, nothing was too much trouble. Signatures, pictures and conversation. Only player not interested was Ryan Bastinac who just ran straight into the change rooms. My sons face was beaming!

Is that from throwing his head back anytime he senses a tackle coming? Overrated anyway, but I guess smart enough to land some decent $$
