Let me get this straight. A weakened Para Hills side lose to a strong D5 club by 20 goals in a trial game. And we are using that as evidence that they should be in D7 ???

We know what sort of score Pooraka would put up on Flinders Uni, or St Pauls, or Mitchell Park right? Probably, 30, maybe 40.

So we're saying Para Hills are 10-20 goals better than the rest? About right. Just like multiple Para Hills sources told me at the start of the year when they said they'd be about 20 goals better than Mitchell Park were last year in D6.

Thanks for playing. Stick to sculling red tins.

will be interesting to see what Gepps Cross do to them in the upcoming trial. They beat us by 5 goals so we will see if there is a disparity!

Morrell one question, why does it even bother you.

Because after having spent 15 years playing footy at the lower levels of the amateur league and appreciating what it's done for me and for my community, I don't want that environment ruined for others. I also think the equality of the competitions should be paramount.

This cycle of placing clubs from higher divisions into D7 has to stop as its robbing existing D7 clubs the chance at promotion.

Not to mention the increasing notion of "premiership or nothing" type thinking which is seeing clubs either stupidly strong or non-existent.

Pretty simple really.

so Para Hills had 3-4 of the div 5 A grade prems playing in the B grade

i doubt para hills had that many out of the A grade and the only thing that saved them from getting flogged by 40 goals was the rain and probably the 8 A grade players who did not play for pooraka

para hills will probably sit between 1st and 5th they lack team work, direction, discipline. I doubt they would even make the 5 in div 6

I've followed Para Hills re entry to Saafl with interest after being approached to apply for the position. I am with Morrell in believing they will be too strong for Div 7.OB will have them up and about by round 1. Read what you wish into trial games but no premiership points on them whichever way you look at them. Personally I think someone will fall over in a higher grade which may open up the door for them.

Good luck getting clubs to move up a couple of weeks out from Round 1. More likely a bye if a club drops out.

You'd jump at it I would have thought,as guaranteed promotion rather than fight 22 Weeks and still no guarantee you get up a grade

So I guess you would expect Mitchell Park to go back up to 6 then and Para Hills to stay in 7?

Mitchell Park would be offered it first due to them finishing 9th in 2016

But wouldn't take it I wouldn't of thought, Hence why I believe when its official that S/North will stay in div1 and div1r with Greenacres only have 1 side I believe Adelaide Lutheran will go up. Just my opinion tho

Rumor has it S/West to only have 1 side as well.

Correct. Contrary to some peoples thoughts, We are not in a position to stay in Div 6 after losing so many players.

The big worry is the amount of clubs struggling to fill sides.

Greenacres?

Saw Greenacres B's run out for their trial against Central Yorke on Saturday. They had 24 so numbers were OK. Didn't hang around to watch. Quality looked a bit like they could get to round 3 or 4 before they would surrender and not sure if that was their whole lot for all quarters.
