Both those are better bats than Mitch Marsh so replace Starc and Marsh with both. Go really radical and replace Wade with Khawaja and keep with Handscomb.

Pattinson can bat 6! He can't do any worse than the previous one...

Actually Patto can genuinely bat. Averages 25 ish I think at tedt level. He has a good technique and as you said couldn't do any worse lol.

Also was at some stage in the season the leading run scorer in Melbourne First Grade. Couple of tons and half centuries to show it was no fluke.

Doubt it, Bird is over there and would be next in line I'd think.
Knowing the selectors though they will want a bowler that can handle a bat so Cummins or Patto should have their passports ready

BINGO!
Cummins has been selected as Starc's replacement and will fly out tomorrow

What chance is there he gets injured on the flight over? Those bags of peanuts can be a bastard to open.

I actually like the idea of Pattinson at 6 and Cummins to come in. The key to us winning is rolling these pricks for under 250

This obsession with unearthing the next great all-rounder or gem in the rough is getting out of hand!

Well there was only two things wrong with Marsh's game, he wasn't scoring runs and he wasn't taking wickets, everything else was fine.

There's actually a third. Him being in the side too is wrong.

well the test pitch is what all australians expected, looks like the worst one yet, apparently the aussies were banned from taking photos of it, time to stand up to these cheats and tell them to stick the last 2 matches up their 1.2 billion arses

Wowsers that looks like a belter. Personally I don't see why India are doing this as I reckon it gives the Aussies more of a chance. The worse the wicket the more even it makes the teams.

They should be fined again for substandard wickets. What a disgrace!

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but we do the exact same thing but at the other end of the ledger, if we play a team that lacks genuine quicks we make sure we play them at the WACA and make it very venomous.

I don't totally disagree with your point, but thing is, we've also played losing matches against very good teams on that deck - we lost to the Saffers there a couple of years ago knowing they had a better attack than us.

And we've played teams with genuine quicks on the WACA and the pitch stays the same (save for it's decline over the past 10 years)

West Indies, South Africa recently, Pakistan with Wasim and Waqar

End of the day it is what it is both teams have to play on it.

This could backfire massively on India if we win the toss and post a decent 1st innings score (250-300)

And that's what shouldn't be allowed.
As long as the pitch gives both sides a chance, I don't care.
