Haha yes!

When Marsh came out to bat they showed his stats on the screen and Hayden said with an average of 38 that it's a good start to his test career. Good start to his career excuse me? He's 33 and well past the start of his career. Maybe Hayden was mistaken as he only has the 22 matches to his name.

I counted three with the latter.

Two and three middle names are OK. Chaminda Vaas had 5.

The coverage on ABC Grandstand has been really good, unfortunately they went to the rugby an hour or so back.

Khawaja is comfortably in the top 3 batsman in the country. If Shaun Marsh had performed well, the selectors could have been considered genius for dropping a top 3 bat for him, but given he's failed, the selectors should be sacked.

Maxwell (or Khawaja if they really wanted S.Marsh) should have been in instead of Mitch Marsh from the start. Every cricket watcher in Australia could have told you that. How do the selectors get it so wrong?

Surely we have seen the last of any Marsh playing in a baggy green after this Test match.

If Maxwell and Smith can see out this session we have one hand on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Warner in the Northern Hemisphere:

48 Innings
Average of 32
1 Century

For our number 2 batsmen & VC it's not good enough at all.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

I'd love to see Maxwell go big here.

Not a big Maxwell fan, but if it gets us the B&G trophy in undoubtedly our best sub continent series win, especially over these smug pr*cks, then aboard the Maxwell train I am.

This is a wee bit easier proposition than the first two Test pitches, that being said Mong Darsh would've found a way to tread on his stumps by now. If Maxwell plays disciplined innings like this more often people may start to treat him seriously as a cricketer and less as a sideshow. The look Smudger gave him when shaking his hand on getting 50 was "get out now you're set and I'll f***en brain you".
