To win the Shield we need to bowl them out twice. Should he play and maybe squeeze out a batsman?

I doubt they will make any changes to the team that played in Tassie. Trent Kelly preparing the pitch in Alice Springs, so will have a bit of grass to it, game will get a result in five days for sure.

Last game there was only a couple of weeks ago and WA only made 140ish I think and the Vics just over 300 but reckon Tremain and Patto put on 100+ for the 8th wicket. Think the Vics only had to chase 60-70 to win out right

Yeah i remember there being a really low score.

I tend to agree its a shame the shield final is not being played in the state that earnt the right to host at, and preferably being played at a major stadium as it's the pinnacle for any shield cricketer.

No, that century in Alice Springs was his maiden first class ton.

Yes he does! Lucky his Father-in-Law is the legendary Les Burdett who I think will go up there to take over from him so he can get back here for the GF.

Is it a tad of a worry that the youngest player on that list is 24?

Absolutely it is. Cowan, Burns, Bailey, Henry Queues and Nevill have all had stints at international level.

Henry is an interesting one, 265 of his 700 odd in one dig and average nearly 70 with the ball and only took 3 wickets.

Can someone explain what Neville did to get into this team.. Carey has been BY FAR the best keeper this year.

Make 140 more runs in 4 less innings than Carey for starters. Nevill made more runs that most of our batsman

Two players added to our XI from last game - Richardson and Andrews. Can't see either of them playing. Unchanged team I reckon.

Can we get through Pattinson?

Depends what kind of deck is ready to go at Traegar i guess, it can favour the spinners at times, and be a little slow.

Definitely need a spinner - last years final showed we missed a trick there - Zampa would have to be the obvious choice.

Hard for Richo - didn't he miss our final last year as well? He's taken 32 wickets this season too.. unlucky for him - last season with the 'backs?

Yup having played on it over 15 years ago it is a tad on the slow side and bounce is a problem.

Albrecht oval at East Hermansberg (Alice mob will get that reference) is a better deck.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
