Talk on the national game

Grundy finished the season very well and averaged 26.1 hit outs per game which ranks him 16th for season, but he had more kicks and more handballs than any other ruckman and the second highest number of tackles. Depends what you are looking for from your ruckman. Definitely a few ahead of him for hit outs, but on the overall package there is a case for him being number 2.

No 2017 thread, and I can't be arsed creating one.

Jordan De Goey is set to be disciplined by Collingwood, following confirmation he has lied to the club about an incident on the weekend resulting in De Goey breaking his hand.

De Goey originally said that he sustained the injury over the weekend "playing with his dog", but it has since been revealed that he became involved in an altercation that saw him break his hand whilst out celebrating his 21st birthday.

Collingwood are currently in meetings this morning dealing with the situation. More to come.

Didn't another one of them bust his hand playing with his dog last year?

3 week ban on top of his recovery is what I am hearing.

$5000 and 3 week suspension from the time he is set to return.

He was listed as 3-4 with his hand, means he's 6-7 with the hand + suspension.

Pretty sure he lost his license thanks to a DUI charge in his first season and late last year on SEN it was mentioned that both he and Maynard have a rep as being party boys and that some in the club were looking at moving him on in the trade period.

Midfield looks good, Forwards ok (just ok) but for mine your back 6 is shocking. I'd imagine the same area on the ladder as Port.
