Yeah nice try Wedgie... Probably should have been a free to Theo, but he would still have got the Red for the elbow...

Oh well a wins a win, we've had some nightmarish luck this year so we are due...

Whats with Adelaide United raffle ticket seller going to a local pub hassling pensioners when the club is owned by a millionaire lawyer?

So apparently Ross Aloisi hit a United assistant coach in the tunnel after the game:

Which is interesting because I thought I heard on the telecast that John Aloisi was lined up for the United job next year.

Where John goes, Ross is sure to follow...

even so, an elbow to the face is a red any day of the week

As a complete neutral, who cares zero about the game, that looked like a dive more than it did an elbow for mine. I don't see much contact being made and Princess Fiona beat gravity to the ground she went down so quick. Shouldn't it have been a card / free / whatever for the way the United player handled the goalie?

From the lowlights it looked as though, and backed up by comments in here, that the ref lost control of the game well before the 95th minute.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

FFA Director of Refereeing has acknowledged it was a mistake by the ref. No penalty and a free kick to Brisbane would have been the correct call.

...and a red card for Theo for violent conduct... doesn't matter if McGowan had belted him, Theo still should have had the red card...

I totally agree though, should have been a free kick to the Roar for the initial foul and then a red for the elbow...

The referee was horrible the whole game (towards both sides)! A number of terrible calls and no calls, especially the free kick he gave Mcgree on the edge of the box after he took a dive. You would hope he will not be refereeing for a few weeks (if not the rest of the season)!

I almost felt sorry for the poor bastard as the sound was on for the footy and he was too scared to ask the bar staff to change it.
Was a couple of hundred the same time last year.
AU can win every game for all I care if it keeps their wanker fans out of my pub.
