Should Enfield manage to get up Saturday, it'll be the first A grade premiership since Paul Johnson's 1983/94 side recorded victory over Enfield Lutheran.

It'll be the first Division 1 premiership for the club since life member Kel Watson captained Enfield to success over Grote Street in 1963/64.. it was also the same season South Australia broke an 11 year drought in winning the Sheffield Shield.

190 is a very good score at Adelaide Lutheran with it traditionally being a pretty slow out field. You'd take 190 in any GF's but as I said especially at Lutheran.

Shit happens.. **** you Milly.. the sun will come up tomorrow and life goes on.

Bag Enfield all you like.. but fact is without us this comp wouldn't exist. and before anyone thinks i'm exaggerating - last 10yr Enfield have "propped" up the association by fielding teams outside our depth to make up numbers.

Enfield has majority executive members and does majority the work.. Enfield cops the most shit and does the most work..

Hate on Enfield all you like, but without Enfield and our committed peopled - C&CCA would've fallen over years ago.

Congrats to Lutheran, best team all year, deserved the flag, and worked hard for it.

While every one wants to rag on Enfield.. dont forget our F GRADE - OUR 6th SIDE - players 55-66 - won the flag today in PDCA!

We won a flag with a 6th side.. we have 120 paid members.. WE PAID 85k for our OWN nets this year, we have clubrooms.. we are STREETS ahead of anyone near us in hard wicket.

We are a sustainable model, and whilst clubs have come and gone, Enfield has remained constant for nearly 90 years.

No, there is more chance that I will have a summer off to enjoy other things.

I have heard though, that NEK are also exploring a move, but if they stay then Baldo has a few lined up to move to Ingle Farm..

Sounds like the comp is in trouble. PDCA will be rubbing their hands together.

Seemingly, the Exec. would possibly be but the clubs that vote would have some reluctancy. This is how I would imagine how the voting would go for acceptance:

YES
Enfield
Fitzroy
NEK
Para Vista
Rose Park

MAYBE
Athelstone
Never2late

NO
Adel Lutheran
Desi Avengers
Magill-Morialta
Seaton
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.

Never2lateDisagree - they'll be re-located to Thomas Turner Reserve next season, it's where Enfield low grades play and 5min from Adelaide Warriors.. good club, good people they'd be a good fit.

NO
Adel Lutheran Would join ASCA anyway
Desi AvengersWould look to join ATCA
Magill-Morialta Rumors they'll fold anyway - school has told them they need to find a new ground, and most their side are made up of blokes the wrong end of 40
Seaton Would look to join ASCA, but my gut feel is they'll fold - the good players will return to clubs they came from and be left with no one

Mate, nothing against them but I can't see any club north of Salisbury wanting to travel through the CBD for 1pm start when many clubs have juniors that can finish as late as 11:45.

I would've imagined they'd join that section comp anyway.

No club in the PDCA is going to accept a club named "Never2late"

I've seen clubs knocked back over the years for pilfering too many players form the one club to start up, once you're in, you're in and opposing clubs acknowledge this so they don't wanna see any fly by nighters.

Never2late are in the process of changing their name anyway to be more of a "proper" club - they identified this need before Christmas.

None of their players came from other clubs (well 1 i think from Fitzroy), and they've steadily grown since they joined our comp, and have aspirations to move to 2 sides next year.

Don't know what the name has to do with anything anyway.. besides you've got Adel Warriors, Adel Bangladesh tigers, Ceylon Tamil, Direk, Smithfield - they're kind of strange names :P

If N2L weren't accepted, i'm sure Enfield would be most happy to absorb them.. :D
