If I could be ****** doing tipping I'd tip Port this week. They are up and about and very confident (rightly so). They have that arrogance back and right now they have the mix right to knock off the Crows. Whether they can keep that up long term is another question, I don't think they can but what would I know? Go the Crows!

On form alone, the Crows easy.
Port beat a Swans side missing 8 GF players plus 3 blokes making their debut, then beat currently the worst team in the comp.
Adelaide smashed the premiership faves then gave Hawthorn a four goal start & won by 4 going away.

Gis reasoning is sound in my opinion and the crows should win this one fairly comfortably.

I give Richmond no chance but that's mainly because I think they're shit and they haven't beaten a decent team yet.

Yep

Whilst I won't be tipping them, a Gold Coast win wouldn't shock me .. Expecting decent games from Lynch and Ablett and a few teammates that used to have ability. Surely they have to show some sort of response after the public flogging they've (justifiably) received this season??

I reckon they played even worse against Carlton than we did against North.

Getting a little sick of this argument, TBH.

To start with, it is actually 7.

Of those 7, we are talking Xavier Richards, Tom Papley, Jarrad McVeigh, Tom Mitchell, Ben McGlynn, Gary Rohan & Issac Heeney.

Xavier Richards was the laughing stock of the trade period, McGlynn had bugger all influence in the big dance and you would probably consider Cunningham of equal ability (Cunningham was emergency for the GF), Papley was replaced by Towers who played 13 games last season. Papley a slight upgrade there. Rohan can only be described as inconsistent. Tom Mitchell a definite loss to their midfield rotation, Jarrad McVeigh and Issac Heeney big outs also. 3 key outs, IMO.

Of Port's best side, we were missing Pittard & Impey.

As for 3 debutants?

So Port had the upper hand there, whilst playing Brett Eddy, Dan Houston and Sam Powell-Pepper?? Please.

And before I go- late in 2016, we travelled to the SCG and got absolutely smacked, embarrassed, annihilated, whatever euphemism you wish to use. Christ- we were down 6.5 to 0.0 at quarter time, and managed a paltry 4 goals for the game. If my maths is correct, R1 was a 95 point turnaround on that result, not to mention that we have only managed to beat Sydney twice since 2006. If our record against the Swans isn't a hoodoo, then I don't know football.

I will agree that last weeks result cannot be gauged, as we were playing against witches hats. However, our R1 win was every bit as impressive as Adelaide's.

Tomorrow night promises to be a cracker.

Hawks 0-3, I like the look of that.
