Dunno, I reckon it's a bit embarrassing. I think the inference behind that banner message was that Port is the better side, therefore it deserves to win the Showdown.

But if they lose, they can say (as RC rightly points out) that 'well, we got what we deserved, we weren't good enough.' But you can't tell me that that message was the club/cheer squad's intention before such a massive home game.

It has been an ongoing message from hinkley over the years.

If Carlton lose its all Rhys Palmers fault. Total spud, some of his efforts

Forgetting the footage of the Crows bloke covered in blood last season after starting a punch up on the same hill that was all over facebook!!!

Unfortunately AFL fans in this state have lost the art of simple 'football banter'

My personal belief is its because of the lack of times they are actually at a game where there isn't a 90/10 split in fans.

Told you at half time we were gone. Train indoors and play most of our games indoors and wonder why we can't play wet weather footy. Today's performance worse than anything we dished up last year

Lol I'm not forgetting anything.

And it was between their own fans, so nothing to do with the split

I remember two Port fans going at it on the boundary next to me. the scoreboard half-forward pocket at the bay when Tommy Logan calmly slotted one and gave the crowd the hulk Hogan sign, that was probably 2008ish?
