Hey Gentlemen, what golf app do you use for yardages, score recording etc. I've got Golfshot but was wondering about others that you may use.

I use Free Caddie but these days I rarely use it at my home course and I use a laser range finder to ping off the flag.

So after the disappointment of not getting to play at Sandy Creek on Thursday (bloody stupid rain ;)) the old man has organised for a game on ANZAC Day.

Looking forward to it.

Did take all the family out to the Little Para Par 3 on Friday and played 9 holes, was good fun, but the youngest last 4 balls in 3 holes... They are coming out of his pocket money :)

Most on here would be correct in their assumption by reading my dribble, im not exactly the brightest star in the night sky.

I have signed up a membership for Thaxted as well as my current Vines membership which I will cease at the end of the season in September.

I played Vines Monday with my new Golf Link number. I had told Thaxted they would be my home club when the new season starts there on sept 1st.
However they have already given me a new number. No drama.

So monday, I play and win the comp at Vines and get credited $50

Yesterday I win C grade.

But no prizes are alongside my name. shouldve been $70.

I paid to play in the comp.

I ring up today for a Hanson, "Please Explain".....
I basically get told the computer didnt pick it up..........yet it did on Monday
Oh but theres a different system between wednesday and saturday comps........ok, so I paid and played for nothing
You had a good score etc..........i dont care, i was planning to purchase some clothing with my winnings

So I said I might as well just finish up being a member if I am ineligible to win prizes.

He says he will leave a message for the main guy to look into it during the week.....

Well if I dont get a satisfactory answer they can go get ****** and I will be immediately ceasing my membership.
Theyve already lost a min of $10k in membership next season.

Plus, we played behind 2 groups of juniors yesterday. We started 40mins late.
The kids fell about 3 holes behind.....the father was a caddy giving lessons and the wife was just being a caddy going for a walk.....

There was no eagerness to keep up....but again not a word was said against the precious kids.....

Now im going to pour my 4th beer and settle in for the footy

The main Pro fixed it all up when I visited today.
I picked up a seat, which will come on handy for the slow rounds and a wet weather glove which feels beautiful

Well got to play at Sandy Creek today... Great course, the greens are quick and true, it's just a shame I played like a busted arse. 96 off the stick, couldn't buy a putt, not an issue with the Greens at all, and struggled with my accuracy off the tee...

Was getting plenty of distance but just ending up in trouble and making 2nd shots difficult.

Still trying to decide on whether I sign up for a membership there or save the pennies until spring and sign up at TTG.

Only playing a couple times a year but if I've got a membership I will play a lot more. Don't have a handicap at the moment but would be an 18 or so.

Love it and wish I'd never stopped playing at 18 years old.

Looks better than what it was! I got a 3 for 4 points on the 18th, I drove the green and had a put for an eagle left it an inch short! Not a lot else to talk about.

27 points at the first comp look at Thaxted.

Gee the greens are very tricky.

Had a couple of wipes.

The club pro was out there this morning organising the groups etc....we endes up starting about 10mins EARLY. Sensational that he was out there getting people away on time.
