Did Drew Lister not end up at Two Wells in the end? Noticed there's no clearance for him?

Didn't mean to "like" the post.

No, he did a bit of tyre kicking and just disappeared eventually. Failed to rock up to trainings or a trial.

Muelendyks has the mail medal already around his neck if he doesn't get injured. Blokes a jet.

Saw the game yesterday and United's pressure around the ball could only only be described as "wow"!! In the past that's one area that's been non existant at times. Let's hope it wasn't a one off! Great day put on by the club with a huge crowd and a great atmosphere under the verandah!!

Sandery must have played well to win the medal - who picks the ANZAC medalist?

Is it the umpires? I'm actually not too sure tbh.
I did hear a rumour that there was a few of Muelendyks centrals mates at the game and they done his stats. He Had 18 at half time and finished with 40 and a goal.

The umpires are asked to pick the most courageous player for the match for the medal.

If that's the case, Peter Valle was stiff to not get the medal...

I thought Thomas was an assistant to Younie for the crows SANFL team? Thus being unable to play if the Crows SANFL team is playing on a Saturday. He definitely had a role with Adelaide last year but squeezed in only the odd game up in the Hills Country FL with his cousin D. Thomas from memory. Unless things have changed I'm guessing we will only see him occasionally

With all due respect to the umpires, surely this award is to be voted on by the coaches or someone other than the men in white.

You havnt complained about the umpires picking it every other year when a Mallala player has won it.

I seriously doubt that his comment is a United/Mallala motivated angle. Just a recent observation.

About two years ago, Nathan Greenshields won it in a side that got handsomely beaten. Greeny is a great player but there was no way known he should have won it.

Umpires pick the Producer Medal, I think if you're going to hand out these individual honours on the day, perhaps find a panel of three or more keen observers for that particular match.

Overall, I don't believe anyone should be presented a medal for Anzac Day matches. Love the sport on the day, the individual accolade is unnecessary.

Update in this week's paper about when Thomas is expected to play etc.

Not much was made about Two Wells win over Virginia? Virginia accounted for two wells pretty easily in the prelim and TW only seemed to have one new name in their team. Virginia fielded a decent team by the looks. Any one see the match?
