Lions are massively inconsistent. Which is not really surprising given how young they are. Last week against the dogs was a great game

Dear Pirate,

If this is what Hawthorn are going to dish up in season 2017, I will need to book a much longer overseas holiday than originally planned. Although I may need to be back in September to watch the Roosters.... your help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerly

The holding the ball in the first minute that wasn't paid against the Eagles was so bad I changed the channel.

I watched TTG v ROCS today and the umpires where superb, why? Because I didn't notice them. It's not that bloody hard a job. I have umpired at many levels in many sports. I don't get why they are so horrid and don't have a feel for the game.

I'm sick of making excuses for the incompetency of trained professionals. Their over exposure cost the Dogs a game last night instead of just blowing the whistle for play on. We don't need their commentary. Eddie McGuire hit the nail on the head when he said just use your whistle and give a signal.

Pay the bleeding obvious and shut the f@ck up. If the 3 field umpires can't work out whose turn it is to make a decision without the non stop nonsense of yelling mine, mine, yours yours then my name is Pauline Hanson and no I don't want or need them to Please explain!!!!

This result in the West really doesn't do well for either team for this year at least. Realistically this new Perth Stadium is the best thing that will happen to both these teams. At least they will play on a ground that is only marginally smaller than the MCG. The ground dimensions at Subiaco shoot these teams in the foot with the modern game when they travel against any team that puts up a fight. Fremantle potentially better as they at least train on the biggest Oval in Australian AFL or state league footy.
