Saints right on top now, they're playing some real good tough and hard pressure footy.

First friday night win since 2011 :) great game by Seb Ross, Acres, Webster and I thought Longer dominated Mummy all night in the ruck, and to see Billings show how good he is, and was Carlisles best game for the club.

Nope. We average nearly 40k there and that's including a woeful year last year. Saints would average 33-34k there at best.
17,000 there on a Friday night when your team is playing good footy is a disgrace

Giants are front running squibs. Go to water when the heat gets turned up.

Can't win flags if you can't keep pace when the intensity lifts.

More to do with injured players IMO.
GWS were out on their feet in the last quarter, losing Kennedy early hurt them and we see it far more now that the team with the extra rotations run over the opposition. Was very similar to the Melbourne v Richmond game. Could tell late in the third quarter the Saints would get up.

You beauty :D Did the 'tough stuff' better than the laconic Giants across the four quarters.

Carlisle proved his value tonight. Ross, Stevens, Steven and Acres busy through the midfield. Billings finally showing elements of why he was drafted so early.

Pleasing to win without Riewoldt having much influence, ditto the tall forwards.

A quick thank-you to the umps is probably in order. Also fortunate with a few GWS injuries. Them's the breaks..

21K..disappointing.

Not just tonight though, Jim.

Adelaide made them look 2nd rate on the counter, and the Dogs should have put them away last Friday night.

When allowed to control the game on their terms and get their link up game going, they look a million bucks. Force them to continually turn the footy over and they get exposed big time.

Crows are the form team of the comp currently so no shame there.
They do like the flair side of the game more than the grinding work though I agree. Still a very much one way running side apart from a few.
Heard them talking about it on SEN the other night and one theory was that because most of their players were very high draft picks who have had it easy through the junior ranks they haven't developed that hunger or toughness yet because it's always been easy for them.

Apparently if the AFL got rid of umpires bouncing the footy there would be a 10% improvement on umpiring decisions according to the stats our mate John Ralph read out? Maybe go back 20 years ago and make the umpires bounce all day, pay the right decisions and we would get a 100% improvement! What a crock of shit!

Interesting theory Jim, but honestly - how many current AFL players at ANY club would have struggled as a junior? Even Toumpas was a star in junior football!

If GWS don't make the GF this season, does Leon Cameron's job come under scrutiny?
Clarkson be interested in the Job?

Just a thought, but if you wanted to coach anyone, GWS is the team.

I agree Chopper... like to think Clarko is up for the re-build and do it all over again with a new group!
