Finally getting James Squire beer in the bar fridge at North Haven!

We've got the Chancer Golden Ale to drink at the club now, the first craft beer to be added to the beer selection. One Fifty Lashes will soon follow apparently. Me and a few others tried to get James Squire in the fridge during cricket season without much interest from the bar manager and the rest of the commitee. But a mate of mine has recently become the footy club bar manager and one of his first decisions was to get a James Squire beer into the fridge. Hooray!

Make sure you get the Porter in - fantastic during the colder months.

I have to try that. I've never had the Nine Tales Amber Ale either so that's a must try.

I dont think any James Squire beer could be classified as a craft beer.
Love my craft beer and love my ales but I'd drink Carlton Draught before I touched any James Squire beer.

Agree its not craft beer, but nothing's a worse than a glass of Carlton Razorblades IMHO.

Funny world we live in - I worked pubs for nearly 15 years & tried hundreds & hundreds of beers & Carlton Draught is IMO easily the best tap beer I've drank.

The Dark Night

If you want craft beer, you should visit the guys at Big Shed Brewing at royal park.

James Squire is ok. Its produced here at West End Brewery.

Im no fan of the Chancer Ale. The 150 lashes is much better.

I haven't been to the one at Royal Park but I've been to their bar on Semaphore road.

Agreed that One Fifty Lashes is better, it's just good to have something different to drink at the club apart from all your standard beers of Super Dry, West End, Coopers Pale Ale etc.

I don't mind Carlton Draught and everyone has different preferences but I find this staggering Spargo.

Good place, went there on a buck's day a few weeks ago. They have a stout that tastes kind of like a Golden Gaytime (the ice cream, not the Mardi Gras in Sydney).
