If it's the same guy who has been around for a few years, he is not the worst umpire going around but he IS the biggest deadset f&@king CHEAT. And has had that reputation for years.

If it's not the same guy, then they certainly know how to find them.........

Last week against Salisbury West there were MANY examples but giving frees when he was not able to see the ball because of the wall of players, and from 70 metres away, all in favour of Trinity 3 or 4 times - speaks for itself. Especially when the other umpire was 15 metres from the contest and in front of the ball.

I don't know who umpired on the weekend so I cant speak for that game. But the umpire we had for the 2 years I coached was probably the fairest umpire in the comp. Had multiple coaches say the same thing. Never stooped to the levels of a couple of other clubs umpires even when the game threatened to boil over because of it

Congrats to my cousin Nick on playing his first game of footy in about 15 years on the weekend. He played in West Croydon's B grade and kicked their only score (I think it was their only shot on goal). To not play for so long and go through a few problems just to get to that point is a huge effort.
I've told him he should've played for Elizabeth ;)

Can confirm, the Trinity reserves umpire was outstanding when we played out there. In fact paid a couple of free that nearly cost them the game.

Have to be careful about this sort of stuff as ressies umps do chop and change a lot.

I totally agree with both comments, thought it was unusual post from x-runna because I thought highly of the TOS umpire that we had - but then again it may not be the same umpire, so who knows lol.

I don't generally make comments about umpires. But I have always believed that if there is a mellee. No matter who started it. If you're gonna send 1 player from 1 team off. Then there should also be 1 player from the other team sent off too. Because players don't normally fight themselves. So losing 2 players from our side in the same situation and none from Trinity. Seems very one sided umpiring. Especially when we were all over them in the 3rd quarter to go into the break 2 goals up. In my mind. He ruined a good game. Would have been a ripper last quarter. All it did was give Trinity a 2 player advantage and we couldn't hold on.

In that situation the Houghton umpire should've sent Trinity players off as well.
