Not sure mate.

Going with Mrs and Miss Boon, a mate and his Mrs and Miss coming too. Sadly he's got a ****** wrist so he's not able to play anymore, pretty much at all, so unless he's keen to caddy it looks like drinking and relaxing.

We're in Nusa Dua, can you offer a suggestion?

Sorry mate I can't help you there, not visited Bali... yet!

Vines today
28pts
Put the driver back in the bag and on the 18th (9) with no chance of troubling the prizes i tried to unload one.....massive slice which i didnt find but wouldve ended in the trees between the 1st and 18th...
Lost a ball on the 4th....wasnt a wildly wide drive....so I think it hit a tree and ricocheted somewhere....

Outside of those 2 wipes. The game wasnt too bad. Did enjoy having to hit the putt....

Super quick round today for the Vines...all done in 4hrs.

Flew solo around North Haven yesterday, tee to green on the 3 par 3's, 3 putted them all.

Drove well, long irons acceptable, bladed 3 wedges over the back of greens, had 47 and left about 7 or 8 out there.

Not the greatest course, but when you're weekend is busy and you flick around in about 70 minutes with nobody around you at 9am Sunday, perfect!

ive always liked north haven. a somewhat interesting layout for a little 9 hole course.

not in the best condition but you get what you pay for, and its cheap. so cant complain

$20 with a Powerade and after our summer with some heavy rainfall at times it's just about as good as I've seen the fairways.

40 points Saturday at Berri. Played to 9.9 and handicap now down to 12. I've found I've been playing better now that I only play once a fortnight rather than 4 times a fortnight like I had been. Anyone else like that and finds they play better the less they play?
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I'm organising a golf trip to the Mornington Peninsula, who's played down there and which public courses are a must visit and best value?

Looking at The Dunes, St Andrews Beach, Moonah Links, Portsea, Sorrento, Eagle Ridge, Rosebud.

Rosebud was ok, but Eagle Ridge was really nice when we played it.
We're heading back there in October to play 3 more courses, great part of Victoria.

Eagle Ridge advertising on the radio over here $48 round inc cart and a pie! Sounds like a good deal.

A lunch time tee.
Rain forecast to hit at around 3.....whuch would probably be around the 14th hole....

Got my new wet weather bag over on just in case.

I woukdnt mind it if the blue skies that are currently overhead stuck around....

Heres hoping the greens are a tad slower.....

Teed off at 11:30 at Sandy...

Was windy, shot 42 on the front nine, and 49 on the back with 1out of bounds and another in the lake at the 18th... 34 putts....

Been fart arsing around with my ball position and grip and was certainly driving better, but fairway work hurt me today.

Was the first round as a member and the first to go towards my handicap. Looking forward to the next round in a fortnight.

Just managed to beat the rain on the course....but got stuck at the bar for 2hrs waiting for it all to pass.....now im ticking along nicely...

Managed to play with 2 of the more veteran members and what an absolute pleasure it was.

Now for the golf. In the practice nets with my 7i....it was going to be a long long day. Nothing felt at all natural.
I did get a tip on the practice green about how the greens all slope too....that helped. The greens felt slower....thank allah for that!!!!

Pretty much hybrid off every tee and felt quite nice. Putting was also very good....by my standards on the most part.
2 scrubs....the first just shouldnt have happened...third shot was just short of the green so had a chip up and bunker to clear. Ball settled with a bloody weed behind it so that just put the club off plane from takeaway and a blade across....
Second scrub on 17.....seriously shouldve had atleast 1 point....poor putting there.

Quite happy with 38pts...only to find all i won was a ball.....winner had 45. Second place 44...had an 80 off the stick...an 85yr old....Image
