I see the umpires have conducted their review on Charliegate. One of the outcomes was that Mitch Duncan was outside the 10m exclusion zone, which is a 10m semi circle from the man on the mark. That is definitely not how they have been umpiring. They umpire a 10m exclusion around the player. Otherwise opposition players could run alongside Ben Brown for 20 metres on his approach.

How can anyone hang shit on Dixon, Trengove Grey or Jaspys last quarter **** ups, which combined were less than 90% worse than that imbecilic hack cough up by Mills which hit Hardwick on the chest in that last 2 minutes ? He was standing on his own no swans player within cooee.

(.........this may or may not have been influenced by a Cats Swans multi)

Great to see Cornes articulated the exact same feeling I, as a neutral supporter, and a lot of others felt about the play on call against Dixon at a crucial time in the game. Despite it being "time wise" correct it was definitely a home town decision and that umpire had absolutely no feeling for the game. Mollison should be dropped until he gets some sort of understanding

He's a senile old fossill who is rarely correct and his biased rubbish has no logic to it.
If we did introduce an even more interpritive "feel of a game" so rules could be magically different at different times of the game (which is itself a ridiculous notion) then surely an umpire in a close game where every second counts would be even less likely to let a player waste time.
He has written some dumb shit in the past but this suggestion would be up there near the top of the list.

Good work addressing the points made. I'd rather be useless than have to merge with another person because I'm a basket case. ;)

Dunno, there was hardly anyone walking the roads and the bridge to the oval. Most are yet to arrive.
The queues literally weren't moving. With so many people in a congested area outside the gate surely it would make it easier for terrorists not harder?

It's ridiculous, more people die from bee stings than terrorism so why aren't they putting up a big net around Adelaide Oval?

Well that in itself tells you everything you need to know about your opinion on the matter, Cornes hasnt had a clue since about half time of the 93 Prelim Final.
Yeah the umpire should be dropped because he allowed 34 seconds, the rule is 30.
Theres no hometown decision about it, theres right and wrong, he was right, you and the rest of the woe is us South Australians are wrong.
