Yeah, I think they've only got a few and a set of siblings weren't available on the weekend.

Surprised with TW's numbers they didn't do some sort of scratch match between the two clubs though?

CFL may have stipulated to the APFL that Angle Vale had to remain
It's not like their senior footy can play anywhere else other than the BLG

They could play in the Amateurs where they always did.

I'm not by any stretch suggesting that this would be a good outcome for the APFL - but given the proximity of AV to the metropolitan area and the huge numbers of people involved with both country & metro forms of AV, it seems ridiculous to suggest that they are unable to form a netball club affiliated with the APFL. If they are not being forced to do so from the powers above then I expect it will always sit in the too hard basket for AV.

It shouldn't even be a vote. Its a condition of them being in that they field at least 5 Netball teams, they were given grace last year where they had 3.
They have failed to meet this condition so there is no decision to be made as far as I'm concerned. Bye bye AV

I'm going to assume though that AV will put up an amendment at this years AGM where they don't need to meet this condition of having Netball teams. Then there might be a decision for clubs of who if any will second it, then who if any will vote in favour of it.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

I'd say a vote might swing the opposite way as last time as clubs feel the financial pinch of hosting AV. Especially those whom host them twice.

They don't buy stuff or don't have many supporters for away games?

No netball means no netballers (obvious), means less families, less supporters to watch = Small gate, small canteen, small bar, small teas after, small functions = loss of $$$.

Yeah, sorry mate, it was a bit early for me, I haven't seen any Angle Vale games this season it isn't as noticeable.

Fact is clubs were down $2k on a match day hosting Angle Vale last year. No netball would exacerbate that figure, possibly closer to $3k at a prudent guess.
Two Wells host AV twice, they'll ultimately be the worst case scenario guinea pigs, for this season at least. Not sure if the APFL subsidises Two Wells given they are the hardest hit.

Mind you, the improvements on the field at the Owls are promising.

You'd have to think it won't take long for the benefit of massive junior numbers being realised.
