Scary how bad the umpiring has been

I thought the umpires were OK in tbe first half. Was genuinely surprised to see the free kick disparity. But then the umpires reached hitherto unplumbed depths in the third term...

North got to find some forwards,
9 goals is not enough to win footy matches.

Didnt really notice that, didnt affect the result of the game was more worried about the boundary umps who seem to struggle to get the ball up in the air and the right distance

With all due respect mate, when your on the lopsided receiving end you don't notice it as much.
My biggest gripe was the amount of times North blatantly threw the ball & were allowed to get away with it.

Same thing happened at Elizabeth, there were a fair few shallow throwins.

Feel sorry for West, how many of their own developed players are now playing against them today? Snelling and Bonner?
Throw in the other SANFL players pilfered from other teams, Eddy, Irra, Leinert, Hewett.

Pilfered hey, Yes Port forced these guys to enter the AFL draft in the hopes of realising their dreams

Gas turned off in the away teams change rooms at Prospect today?
No showers after the game?

I have said previously that we were lucky to win the premiership in 2015, not the best team of the year just was the best team on the day. I cannot say I have ever been a great fan of MM as a coach but as a past champion player of the club, premiership coach and with his illness he does deserve to go on his terms (thanks to testy for reminding me of that). The club doesn't deserve to sack him but IMO he should stand down on his own accord.

Certainly there is another at the club who should stand down for the good of the club.

The new President Lee Harradine, someone I seem to butt heads with (how surprising ;) ) does deserve a bit of credit for the work he is doing in the background. I actually think he is starting to listen which IMO has been one of his downfalls in the past.

Gavin Colville is the reserves coach and should take over if he does decide to stand down.

Interesting comments, talking footy manager there?

Certainly plenty of scope for improvement in Westies junior development, miles behind other clubs.
