We could probably adminster it from here

The SA Footy Cricket League

Run polls to decide the draw and rules

Tribunal decisions debated in a thread with people posting their suggested penalties. Decision decided by post with most likes.

Much more representative and transparent!

Would they want to? Argana proving a graveyard for turf cricket.

Craigmore would have a better infrastructure than Penfield to make a successful transition though I would think?

Could then potentially pick up players from Penfield.

Not the worst idea ever.

Funny that! There has been discussions in the past about going to turf but would need a lot of volunteers to maintain pitches etc, something CCC struggles with is volunteers these days.

I agree CCC would have better infrastructure than Penfield and could make it work, they have dabbled with an U17 turf side last season in ATCA.

Zero chance of that happening mate, they just dug up a turf pitch and put an extra hard wicket one in, they'd struggle for the helpers they'd need to maintain a turf pitch.

Just need to clarify there was no turf pitch dug up, the laid a concrete pitch near/next to the turf pitches just in case the turf pitch is required in the future.

Dublin won the Grade 2 comp last season, they'd deserve the right to plain the Div 1 regardless of their location.

Associations are run differently with different rules and standards, the PDCA is in a healthy state and I'd highly doubt any club would be in favour of any such merger.

I think the warmer months, the longer hours and the need of a couple of froffies post match keeps everyone in favour of keeping it close, plus those that help out with juniors in the morning.

Disagree.

Winning PDCA Grade 2 wouldn't mean they were necessarily in the top say 8-10 teams state wide.. if you had a merger of the comps, you'd probably take the top 4 from each comp and that would become your Division one, then you'd repeat with the bottom half of the divisions, adjusting for relegation/promotion.

Top C&CCA or 2 teams would have to slot into Division 2 at a start as well.

Is it rag week?

Of course there will be no full on merger of associations in 17/18, I was merely stating that Dublin have been awarded promotion, yes, I'd imagine that only the top 4 from the PDCA Grade 1 comp would go into the hardwicket "superleague".

Would be great if Craigmore were keen to stay in Grade 3 (which I think they will be) to allow a new club into Grade 2 and have all A Grade teams in Grade 2.

Havent played in this comp for a looooooong time but surely NEK or Enfield could play Div 2 if there was a spot or you wanted to make it all A grade teams?

There is no spot really. No one apart from Craigmore are going to opt to go down to Grade 3 so there might possibly one vacant spot.
