You mean his stunts with ridiculous props don't sway you enough?

A bit like Weatherill and his ridiculous props (eg) O-Bahn extension
Has anyone really thought what it's going to be like in Grenfell St East when a bus every 30 seconds hits the 2 lanes in Grenfell St?

It will be chaos. Similar to the Liberal party.

Use your noggins fellas.

What do you think happens to car traffic if there are less busses and trams on the roads?

There aren't less busses - they are just funnelling them into one street with 2 lanes
You're an engineer (but the wrong type) - so here you go

(Red means no go)
I drive down Grenfell St every morning mainly so I avoid Pirie St as it is blocked up after they ****ed that up by getting rid of the clearway
Once this thing gets working, Grenfell St East will also be a nightmare
Not fun if you work on Grenfell Street and park under the building

Benny, I get the notion that 1 tram = 40 cars, but that's only true when there is a tram there.
The tram may run once every 5 minutes, but for that other 4 minutes and 55 seconds, that lane sits empty. unable to be used.

So you get 40 cars worth through in 5 seconds, and zero for the next 295.

I have absolutely no issues with buses. They are more effective than cars and use the existing road network.
Trams block up an entire lane, rendering it useless for cars, and don't run often enough to be effective.
They also can't run on alternate routes for special events, or when roadworks, etc are occurring.

I'd much rather they spent $2 billion upgrading (or subsidising) bus services, rather than this stupid AdLink project.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Surely the planets are aligning for Marshall to win. The circumstances that the government now find themselves in, really makes it impossible for them to win again.
If the Libs cant win the next election which is by the day looking like its a lay down mesere for them then they should just give up.

You suddenly realise how much hope we have when you read Letters to the Editor like this one:

Another way

PERHAPS the banks should pay GST on financial services instead of the new Federal and SA governments’ new taxes. Why does the financial services industry have an exemption on paying GST? As a reward for political donations to the big parties?

Hardworking Australian families are paying their share of taxes. It’s well past the time for the financial services industry to start paying their share, too.

TIM MITCHELL, Hayborough.

The great bank tax debate on AA this morning.

I think Jay gets the points.
It seems Marshall will lose the unloseable if his rhetoric this morning remains the same

As usual, Weatherill walked all over Penberthy & Goodings and just went on his merry way whilst Marshall was too polite
Marshall really needs to grow a pair and stop playing nicely
He could have nailed Weatherill several times but didn't. Mind you, its easy to say on this side of the radio

Jay accused Marshall of lying whilst bald face lying himself, on numerous occasions, that banks don't pay GST

Ans this is where the state is at. The Libs are beating themselves like normal and the state clearly needs Weatherall out.
