Good argument. The irony of you calling others ignorant.

It's the perfect argument for someone stating results will be different if you took away their best players.

Agree with Spargo  Those players basically ran the teams and he was just the front man. May have had a small part in the victories

lol at the Phil Jackson apologists. He was simply a competent coach who inherited 6 titles via Jordan and should never even have been in position to win one in 2002. Hilariously over rated.

Think some of you are a little harsh. Lakers couldnt get it done in the playoffs until Jackson came in. Same with the bulls under Doug Collins, although obviously the improvement of Pippen helped probably more than hiring Jackson. At that level it's more about player management and keeping ego's in check. Gotta get blokes earning millions of dollars a year realise they are just role players and that they arent the man when you have Jordan / Shaq / Kobe on the same team. I cant name 1 great coach who didn't have great players.

After the most boring season/playoffs ever.

Off season has started with a ******* bang.

OKC taking their shot at convincing Paul George to be more than a one year rental before he signs in LA next year.

Glad he is gone though!

Definitely a fair bit of that plus the club probably thought with his connections he might of aided in recruiting. Unfortunately his ego never allowed him to stay out of the action and in the back room

Who the **** is going to want to go play the triangle in this era?

Phil made New York the least desirable place to play, not aid recruiting.

Dolan is an absolute numpty, but even he eventually came to his sense and realized Phil was still living decades behind the rest of the league.

Excuse my ignorance, but Phil was in the front office, not coaching the triangle? Understand he had influence though.

Phil definitely had them running the triangle. No doubt about that. Was rocking up to training and getting them to play it more and more.

Biggest winner out of him leaving is Jeff Hornacek. Dude can coach, and is now gonna be allowed to play modern day ball.

Heard Orlando were going to make a big offer for Ingles. Good to see he and Mills sticking with their teams.

Ingles would now have to be one of Adelaide's highest ever paid sportsmen.
